This is a list of things I've recently learned. Feel free to comment or make your own list. Mixing hazelnut/vanilla and chocolate/almond coffee together does not work. You would think they would go together but the resulting mix is disgusting. Adding finely-ground hazelnuts to plain coffee does not result in hazelnut coffee....it also blocks the filter, meaning that the coffee (used in its broadest sense) takes forever to filter through. Trusting and believing someone's ex is a bad thing to do unless the relationship ended well or you've gotten the wrong idea about that person and s/he is writing to tell you you're wrong. There is always a motive behind it. Remember the saying: "Insanity is repeating the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." Truer, wiser words do not exist! Remember the good along with the bad when a relationship ends. There is always both even if it's tempting to remember either the good or the bad. Cherish the good, forgive the bad.

I have recently learned that I would like to have coffee with zephyr, because we seem to like the same kinds. I don't think I want her to make it, though. We'll go out, I'll buy [:)]

Things i have learned recently - death is final, but memories go on (thank god) friends are a very important part of anyone's life you will never finish "touching up" your paint job the reason people bring food when someone dies is because it makes them feel useful, and the survivors REALLY don't feel like cooking if your budgie falls down the a/c vent, hanging a towel into it enables them to climb out (learned this one at 4 this morning)

The coffee with finely-ground hazelnuts was a one-off, an experiment to see if I could make decaf hazelnut coffee.....obviously this does NOT work.

funnily I thought a while ago to open a similar thread with the title "did you know"... things I recently learned is that black dots in your cat fur ain't flea eggs...it's their poo [:'(][:'(][:'(] things I learned since i am dating people from CM is that I do not approve of it when colleagues or so called friends try to "advice" me when I go abroad for dating, claiming they would be sooooooooo concerned or even worse claim that I should be grateful that they are concerned about me...leading some of them to experience the "true me" and they didn't like it in my response [:)] (as I am not having any of it...there is only one person in my life who has permission to be concerned about me and that's my ex, apart from that I am a truely happy indedependent me). Out of that I learned certain people not to tell anymore at all when I am going away...[:)] I learned not to trust a cat humaniser the keys to your flat when you are away...as she will humanise your cats and leave most of your lights on non-stop...not gonna happen anymore, my cats are pets, not little humans (apart from that they see better in darkness anyway [sm=ofcourse.gif]) I have also learned within the last 3 years that it is ok to be selfish it at times [:)] As I learned not to attend certain gatherings or meetings with friends when I simply can't afford to do so due to uni stress or due to financial pressures when I have to put work committments first. I have learned the importance not to neglect my needs over their needs (as it doesn't help to waste a day meeting someone and then potentially fail an exam). I have also learned that there are no gnomes who come during the night and tidy up your mess....seriously, I gave them so many chances...they just don't come to me [&o]

Regarding budgies I learned as kid with the hard way that leaving your budgies in the shadow of a balcony when you go out swimming is not something they will enjoy for long [:(][:(][:(]
