OP, you come to this site and realize that a large percentage of the profiles you encounter are looking for something other than what you seek.  That much I follow.

But why do you then assume that what you want is the norm, when so few profiles seek it?

But Steven, that makes just too much sense, and if he were capable of thinking that clearly, we would have lost much entertainment value from this thread.

This is because she obviously believes that we do not know how "place" and because she and the OP can sign up on a kink site and call themselves "dominants", well their opinion means oh so much more than our little teeny weeny submissive one... got it?

See that explains so much. Geesh all these years I was so wrong in thinking that I had a voice. That I had an opinion. *stomps my feet and pouts* Why!! Why!! Cruel cruel world why did you have to put this wise and stunning dominant woman in my path now to educate me?!

NO - NO - you are the wrong inclination to post on this thread - only twue subbies and fluffffy bunny butts can post and be mocked. *sigh* its hard to be a twue subbie with all the real dominants disparaging you.

uh huh - so how exactly did you get a splinter in youre ass by walking along -

well, I was walking along, ahem...and kind of, well, fell over a bit...and my knickers must have fallen off...and ... he tried to catch me and fell on top of me...

BTW - this is an excerpt from the police statement

Dear Charter Member:  I was thinking that you had sat upon the bar which needed re-finishing.  As the bar-keep told you "Remove your arse, rabbit!" you slid and hence the splinter.

so just to recap, subs on this thread are going out of their way to be insulting and humiliating to a dom type who asked a question? i mean, who ever said there were no stupid questions apparently never posted on cm, because i am sure they would have been educated otherwise.

I'm not done reading the thread yet, but I wanted to get this out there.  It's something I've said before and I'm more than willing to say again.

There absolutely are stupid questions, dumb ass answers, and just plain stupid people.  Anybody saying anything different is just being nice by coddling and patting people on the head.

I'm stealing that, permission granted or not. LOL!  Well, maybe not stealing so much.  How 'bout a trade for:

Binary search for the D-type's birthday.  First on year, then on month, then on date.  Later on, you get to ask "What is my Birthday?"  If they get it wrong.... lather, rinse, repeat.

Are we "doing" a separate string for just cock-shots?  I was first up with cock-in-panties on men-in-my-panties.  :::sigh::: Do you have any idea of the cost of batteries for a digital camera nowadays?

ETA: Rechargables ? Need another set - and why do they sell rechargables in packs of 6 when the recharger holds 4 ?  Oh, I get it!  Same reason as 8 hotdogs and 6 buns.

I was traumatized as a young girl by math. I was brilliant at all subjects except math. It was those story problems..."a train is going 125 miles an hour. how long would it take to get to San Diego if the train veers off track and the passengers are picked up by a jet plane going 1000 miles?"

How many passengers are there? Where did the train start it's journey? When the train veers of its track how many die? Is the jet plane British Airways or Air France? When you say 'get to San Diego'....do you mean the plane landing on the tarmac....or all the passengers through passport control and having a beer in the airport bar? Is anyone on the plane pregnant to the point of dropping?......need to know the chances of an unscheduled stop in Turkey....When the passengers are picked up by the jet plane...do they actually get into the aircraft or are they suspended on the wings by rope as this plane travels its 1000 miles.

I think I can work this out for you given a chance. It should save a few tears so more than happy to help.

After complete read-thru:

Lordie!  All those Brits and their idioms!  I got "mix-n-pick" at the cinema, but ONLY from the one-arm reference. Etc.

Two countries separated by a common language.

BUT!  Biggest laugh for me was waaaayyy back at post #3 which I quote:

As the plane crossed the California / Mexico border it crashed.
In what country are the survivors buried?

Fine. You want a boyfriend/girlfriend/whatever, that's perfectly fine. But stop insulting my intelligence. You're desperation for a committed relationship is just bursting out of your profiles and it's rude to believe that we're too dumb to realize it.

Your intelligence is being virtually insulted by an individual's assertions on what they're seeking in a partner that you believe is false? While that's abundantly sad, what's even worse is the energy you're expending on your angst about people you've neither met nor deem appropriate for you. What I find most interesting are postulations of dominance by men that often are ill suited for the role and persons I could easily topple and manage with my pinky. But I don't create a thread to discuss their lacking. Instead, I assume my standard may differ from another woman's and he could be her cup of tea.

A couple years ago I met a CM gent who did a little more than "adjust" his age. That's what the males call it --"adjusting". I'm so used to this adjusting.. that I automatically add five years to most males and then am surprised to find one who is honest about his age. It doesn't bother me much anymore.

MsMillgrove,

I think part of the problem is that CM doesn't update ones age as the calendar turns. Therefore, if the individual doesn't maintain it on their own the information will become outdated. And I've encountered people that have presented themselves as under forty that were anything but. So my solution is to look at the join date and calculate the years between then and now. That gives me a realistic range that might include their age assuming the original number is correct.

I'm still reading through the thread. In fact, I've decided to make this my new required light reading. So far, it has been very amusing.

PS - OP, should you still be observing - hang in there. You will surely find your insignificant other to not have a relationship with.
