That happens[:D]

The ratio of horn-dog mass mailers and nutandrun proffesionals to women on these sites is a little off balance at times. Throw in a few other variables like youth and cuteness and you have a virtual feeding frenzy.

Where are my darts!

You like raptors do ya? I see him on your buddy list.

No, being a submissive male does not mean I am damaged. There are tens of thousands of sub males in the world. Kinky does not mean crazy.

Can you explain what you mean by that? Are you saying that those with dark desires have trouble fitting into maintstream society and therefore are damaged?

I am puzzled by that since I don't find it difficult to be possessed of thoughts to such an extent that it would interfere with my living in mainstream society. I mean, I get up, I work, I interact with different kinds of people all day and I do my thing.

None of that is impacted negatively by dark desires. I devote more time to contemplating those dark desires when alone or even better, if I am connecting with someone who inspires those dark desires.

Sure no problem.
(Adding this cause I missed a question:) No I'm not saying anyone is damaged..although I will say it's highly possible that depending on the definition..We could all be damaged in a way..That's not what I was referring to though.

Simply put..some people deal with those dark desire on different levels..Some function like you or I in mainstream fairly easy, while others struggle with it a bit even if they are doing the same things we are on the outside..What's going on, on the inside may be something dissimilar.

Maybe those that hang onto what the world says is okay to think..Ya know..what family might think and so on and so on...To my mind there is no "real normal" but there is a collection of people who follow a certain "ideal" or similar ideals which make up a "moral majority"..that might find this place and the people who frequent here, appalling.

Thanks for clarifying. [;)]

See what the rest of you ladies are missing? 9 months!

Raptor-peen removes all biological needs.

Ironic, is that most people feel like they don't really fit in. It's way more common than you realize because not many people want to own up to it quickly. It's a topic that is not openly talked about enough.

Can we go for nine years this time, Daddy?

TheRaptorJesus -> RE: Do you consider yourself "damaged"? (8/11/2010 1:01:16 AM)

WHAT THE FUCK DID RAPTOR JESUS SAY ABOUT DADDY ISSUES?!

He don't play that shit. Unless you're one of my thousands of bastard children, you won't call me daddy.

As punishment... only 8 years.

I do see myself as different in my views and perceptions but I don't see that as negative. I'm actually glad because most people I'm around can't comprehend multi-syllable words I use. I'd rather feel what I feel and deal with what it comes with than be blind. Albeit, self esteem is a issue, at least I'm aware of it.

Violentseternal -> RE: Do you consider yourself "damaged"? (8/12/2010 6:22:20 AM)

Wow.. why do so many people seem to think psychologists are the answer to everyones 'problems'..they themselves have more issues than their clients, but never look into their problems.. cant see much good coming from that.. up until the late 1970s people into D/s in ANY form were locked away in mental institutions as being mad, by psychiatrists!
Yup, personally, i can say that i am a freak.. i have never been like those around me, my morals, ethics and needs alone are vastly different from anyone else  i know...and i would have it no other way.  It isnt easy being against the grain of the mass populace, but damned well well worth it!!

CeriseNin -> RE: Do you consider yourself "damaged"? (8/12/2010 7:25:41 AM)

In my teens, I had these moments where I would do nothing but agonise about my sexual orientation because I wasn't the right kind of lesbian, so I thought. I like women who identify as butch and are fairly masculine in attitude. On top of that, I'm submissive and like my partner to be sadistic. It was like, why can't I just like MEN for goodness sake and stop liking pain! I even tried to think myself out of it at some point. So yeah, I thought I was damaged or broken in some way. Not because I'm a lesbian but because I like women who act like the boys and want to make me cry.

Those that follow the crowd usually get lost in it. Embrace your individuality and put down
the notion that you have to meet certain criteria to be "normal"
Normal is boring!

and why be ordinary when you can be extraordinary! my new motto!

i've always enjpyed being different, but i did bury the kink differences for way too long and tried to follow society's normal expectations. the only damage occured in not fully embracing the kink differences, leaving me damaged through trying to live in vanillaland. i feel more complete and content now than i ever did back then.

Does anyone else feel that being somehow "damaged" is an asset in BDSM? Like, maybe, we're a big club of freaks who have just learned to embrace it? i feel like if i was a normal, well adjusted person i wouldn't be here. As much as my weirdness embarasses me, i'm still kind of proud of it. i don't think i would want to exchange my fucked up life for a normal one.

Any thoughts? All you freaks out there, sound off!

~FR~

Have not read the other posts yet.

This sort of hits home for me at the moment.

I am for sure damaged.  My healing is coming from knowing, and realizing that I CANbecome whole and complete it's there... I just need to work on seeing things differently.

My "weirdness" doesn't shame me but it does cause me some problems.  I don't see it as an asset in the slightest.  I see it as a huge cement wall that I have to figure out a way around, just like in regular relationships.  Tossing BDSM into the mix doesn't give me a magic ladder over the wall.

I know for sure that my past has lead me here.  I do think this is the best place for me.  I'm surrounded by people who care for me and watch out for me....

I think --- IN MY OPINION (read it again, just to be sure you all saw it)--- that the majority of people in the lifestlye/community are more understanding of being damaged.
