cillydom -> what kind of dominant do you find most useful? (4/19/2006 4:27:18 PM)

Question for the subbies. I hear a lot about dominant men, how many different types are there and which types are most useful to you as a subbie?

I'm sorry.. what do you mean useful?  Useful how?

Forgive me but it is difficult to keep quiet, when somebody refers to a dominant being useful, in regards to what a "subbie" wants. Is he or she not the most useful in their dominant nature?   Maybe i am bothered most by the thought of the implication that we use them, but what does this slave know about usefulness?  i wish that you had used the word "prefer".  As to how many different types of dominants you might as well be asking how many different types of fish there are in the ocean.  i know there are a lot of different ones out there and i read your profile just to see what kind of dominant you were... and i would not dare to lable you or any other.  i think you are better off to ask what a "subbie" prefers.

Useful?  In what way like changing a lightbulb or something like that?  Can you be more clear.

Reality-based.

That means that he doesn't depend on books of fiction for guidance.  He understands the vanilla demands on a sub's life.  He understands that a relationship is about two people.  He understands that discussion does not equal "topping from the bottom".  He never utters these words "you aren't sub enough."

I think that men can be dominant in several different ways and was wondering if the subbies thought so too and which type they preferred to bring out their submissive feelings.

michaelGA -> RE: what kind of dominant do you find most useful? (4/19/2006 6:47:43 PM)

here are some of the things i think would make a wonderful Dominant:

communicative
honest
trustworthy
real
active
interactive
caring
loving
supportive
local
faithful
nurturing
compatable

if any of these terms needs an explaination, i shall try to comply with a definition

A tall one, who can reach things down off high shelves

On a more serious note I think KatyLied summed it up far better than I could.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: what kind of dominant do you find most useful? (4/20/2006 6:32:11 AM)

I like the kind that don't use the s-word.

cillydom -> RE: what kind of dominant do you find most useful? (4/20/2006 6:47:24 AM)

Yes ma’am I will never say subbie again. Subbie has been stricken from my vocabulary and subbie will never pass my lips again. No one will ever hear me say subbie again. Never will I say subbie nor write subbie never again. Subbie is verboten. I have even forgotten what subbie means or how subbie is even said.

cilly,
Considering the thought process that had to take place to generate these questions and quotes:

Consider a profile update to "cillysubbie". (Sorry LA)

Although considering the limits and scene scripts outlining the rules and type of play posted on many "submissive's"  profiles; there appears to be a market for your "services". Many of those "submissive" profiles seem to be seeking a self-bondage facilitator versus a Dominant.

Seems you have misunderstood everything I’ve said

mixielicous -> RE: what kind of dominant do you find most useful? (4/20/2006 8:44:45 AM)

i like a sensual Dom. while i am willing to completely submit, i could not preform at my peak if there was no sex involved. this is just the way it is for me. while i know you are supposed to preform with no questions asked, and be there to please Him, i have to admit i would not be willing to submit to a man whom i did not love, and a good sensual side will usually draw the lovin right outta me.

hope thats what you meant!

CrappyDom -> RE: what kind of dominant do you find most useful? (4/20/2006 9:04:17 AM)

Cilly,

It take more balls to open yourself up and ask questions than it does to puff up your chest and criticise.  You want to know and I find that admirable.

bandit25 -> RE: what kind of dominant do you find most useful? (4/20/2006 9:12:27 AM)

I must admit, I don't care much for the term "subbie" either.  I can't tell you how many times I've gotten an email that starts "hello, subbie"...drives me NUTS!  It just sounds so dismissive.  On the other hand, I thought the question was legit so I didn't get offended...not that you asked me specifically anyway.
