The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain. I have always wondered whether a possum could pronounce that. Unfortunately I do not know any logopedist that has expert knowledge about that subject. Neither could professor Higgins supply an answer to my question, I suspect, nor tutor a possum with the same splendid results as he tutored that Doolittle girl. My hypothesis is that it is the shape of the larynx of possums that prohibits them from attempting to utter the phrase correctly.
