Well, I stood in Souix Falls, SD, at the 3rd Adult store I'd been to that night searching for Bondage gear .... and had to ask the proprieter: " Where is all the bondage stuff? All I see is lubes and vibrators all over town." I'll never forget his reply: " That stuff is illegal in South Dekota. I could be arrested for displaying it, or selling it. I don't know about transporting it. "

You see, whips, handcuffs, and gags ARE illegal in the entire state of South Dekota. I assure you, it wasn't lifestylers who arranged that, nor was it a rash of lifestyle-related maimings and killings, in South Dekota.

But I bet South Dakota has a hardware, a leather and a tack store.  A resourceful person can find much of what they need without ever having to step foot into a sex shop.

Kyra you are so right here..... been making floggers myself... different styles... colors... etc... just because it's fun. I remember KoM mentioned one he makes his own furniture for his house..... think we spoke once about a cage.

MoG.... so nice to see you again... you've been missed.

OK, continuing beyond the Vanilla BDSM deathcamps and staying away from the plate of cookies and missing today's coffee (smile)...I want to point out that I have only three shackles, which left her with one appendage free and such a mess was made...now all three shackles are empty and I still can't seem to get anyone to loan me a paddle; perhaps I'll just start over so I at least get an ice cream cone.

C

Sure...NOW I get that fourth shackle and  after she had bolted... guess I'll just have to find another <evil g>

::points to your handcuffs:: Um.. just an FYI, C... but, they are 'unlocked'. It really helps if you actually close them and keep the key. ;)

Yes, he does make most of his dungeon furniture and he made the cage that is in my profile pics.  We also make many of our own toys.  When he goes to Home Depot it's like letting a kid loose in a candy store.  He gets some wicked ideas walking around that store.

G'afternoon all:

[8|] *holds door open for DDM* Please, don't let us keep you. *hands him a reality check that his sadly lacking humor fund can't cash*

You need a thicker skin. Put down the ego and walk away quietly or the teddy bear gets it right between the ears! (Threatens Pookie with a banana.) Now, you want some strawberries and "whipped"cream for that cone?

Most of the things we do are perfectly legal, and the ones that aren't are illegal for good reason.
Not here in the States. Hitting someone, even if it's consensual, is called assault. Done with a toy, it's raised to battery. These are legal definitions, not my own. By the way, if you're still jockeying the bar, I'll take a Bailey's, neat, with a coke back.

People did not jump on you for merely asking a simple question.  People responded in what you perceive as a negative manner for the air of self-importance and intolerance you conveyed in your original post.  You were practically begging for the responses you got.  For the record, I found most of the responses intelligent, well-written, and polite.

*quiet applause ~ ponders ~ adds a few claps for Mod 11 as well*

As for the rest of you deviants, freaks, and other assorted kinky weirdos... Thank you for lightening an otherwise rainy day here. [:)]

Stay safe, play nice, & share your toys w/ others...

MistWalker -> RE: Emblem by our names (4/22/2006 2:49:43 PM)

the purchase of such toys, being legal or not in a locality, certianly should not stop one, especaly if they are so seriouse about this Lifestyle..  Buying toys is exspensive.. yet oddly i havent let that stop  me  from having a rather well stocked toy bag...good number of whips and floggers ive made myself, plus look around, theres soooo many things in the everyday world around that can be perverted..  ohh trips to the hardware store,*evil little grins*  one dose not need a specific store just to buy bondage goods.. its all around you..make use of it.

LOL... i've often actually just watched some guys... and gals.. in Lowes... and Home Depot... seeing if they're in there for reasons of fixing something... or making something.. and have to smile... when I see a gleam in their eyes.. makes me wonder if they just had a fantasy or not... LOL

CERCKL -> RE: Emblem by our names (4/22/2006 3:09:14 PM)

Laughing, I had been shopping in the Hawthorne District a few weeks ago with lotus and we were in a small shop which had iron locks in various sizes and weights, she had seen the look in my eyes, glanced at what I was looking at and whispered 'no' in a small voice...
I also remember the exquisite sound years ago as one I was with discovered what you could do with wooden clothes pins...

Deep sigh, far away look while remembering and a very <evil g>

sophia37 -> RE: Emblem by our names (4/22/2006 3:45:36 PM)

I think I will have to post a lot more often. According to the forum rankings, after post 2500 my name will be listed with the symbol  'you'll have to wait and see'.  I guess that'll make me a pretty important person around here. Sounds like The Master to me!

sophia37 -> RE: Emblem by our names (4/22/2006 3:48:00 PM)

wait a minute. I thought I was answering something that was said way back 5 pages ago. I have no idea how we've gone from ice cream cones to shopping. LOLOLOL

OK, I was going to make a remark about finding the right sub and having the vanilla deepthroated but I decided not to...so, has anyone else noticed how the threads which get destroyed because of their absurdity seem to attract the same ones who just chat, party and drink? This thread has a load more responses and hits than sincere inquiries...so, I'ld like to thank the OP for bringing us all together again. Next???

C

...still cannot type dammit. Where IS that proofreader I ordered??? Preferably on her knees and naked LOL.

HAHA< I loved LA's answer.  But I also wondered that, just too much of a newbie to CM to ask.
