This place is great. Controversy, Scandal bitching and a good ole fashioned row as we would say in Ireland. All you would want in a forum, provocation, drama, catfighting. Yipeee

I am truly amazed at just how many so called "Financial Domme's" there really is on this website.Before I say anything,I have no problem with "Pro-Dommes".At least they are actually providing something for the money the earn.However,these financial domme's on here are really something else.Now,I am as submissive as one can get.Yet,I am not going to give somebody I have never met in my life,an endless suppy of money.Really?This current economy is hard enough for somebody like me to get by,without me having to spend my hard earned dollar's on some "Domme",so I can contribute to her pure laziness.So,this way,she dosen't need to get a real job like most people need to do.Of course,these financial domme's wouldn't be here if foolish men weren't handing these girl's money.I do not think thatby not giving these "girl's" my money,make's me any less of a sub.It mean's I am excercising commonsense.For all one know's,half these young Lady's are probaly nothing more than some middle age men from Nigera,posting some picture's of a young Lady on their profile's,sitting back laughing while they see the money pouring in.Whatever,if men wish to so foolishly give these people their money,go ahead.But don't expect a penny out of me.

(scuse my crappy typing.. I stillhavent gotten comfy with this tiny keyboard)

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Financial Domme's?Yea right (8/26/2010 9:05:10 AM)

Yeah well you know those guys that expect the femdom to pony up the costumes, and the toys, and then not even pay for dinner? Yeah.

I have gotten requests from guys to take over their financial lives--which I actually have the street cred to do--and REALLY? On top of handling my own life, I have to budget their money, write their bills, price hunt the best deals, watch the retirement plans... you better BELIEVE you will be paying me for all that!! Sheesh, get a wife!

There isn't anything that the mods can do---it's a FREE site, that means that the pros have the same rights on the other side as anyone. Being a pro or findom doesn't make someone a scammer.

Why isn't there anything the moderators can do?

We are often told by the mods on the message boards that our comments are against the TOS, yet I consistently see profiles clearly violaing the TOS.

By CM's own definition asking for money qualifies as a scammer and a TOS violation.

Well, if it means that much to you, my best suggestion is to write to Support and volunteer to monitor profile reporting. They will be happy to have your help.

Also, for the love of god, stop searching only for 20-year-old porn stars. If someone looks like they might be in high fantasy-land demand, they're probably going to charge you for the privilege. And I don't really blame them.

It's not a matter of searching for them, they find you.

I get several c-mails a week from these online-only financial dommes, and it starts to get irritating after a while.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Financial Domme's?Yea right (8/26/2010 9:29:17 AM)

I get lots of emails from artificial subs in Ghana, and men on the other side of the world, and doofuses looking for wank. DELETE DELETE DELETE.

This is the internet. Junk mail is annoying, but it's a quick trip to the trash.

Twoshoes -> RE: Financial Domme's?Yea right (8/26/2010 9:31:37 AM)

Can people still mail you if you hide your profile? Just kind of wondering, since I can't decide if I want to hide mine or actually make a proper profile.

That could fix the junk mail, though.

VaguelyCurious -> RE: Financial Domme's?Yea right (8/26/2010 9:33:58 AM)

You're complaining about 'several' memos a *week*?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.

You just made my afternoon funny. Well done. [:D]

Seriously, though: the site has made it pretty clear through their actions that they aren't going to be deleting findomme profiles. Bitching about it is just that-bitching. VAA isn't suddenly going to wake up today and go 'omg rulemylife is totally right-his right not to be spammed *does* supercede the principle of not policing private interactions as far as possible *after* all!'

You may possibly be sensing that I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for your problem here.

Look to the left of the screen-there's a button which says PM. As long as you don't somehow get all your posts deleted a la Pyschonaut, people will always be able to mail you from the forums via that button.

O, new *shiny* button. [sm=thanks.gif] P

Out of curiousity, how many spam messages per week are we talking about VC? (I'm guessing... 255!)

Looking at my inbox now, I've had four in the last twelve hours. That's pretty standard for me, so that makes 50-60-ish a week. I suspect American women get more.

ETA: you're welcome [:)]
But seriously, I think if I got 255 spam mails a week I would leave the site. I'm still here because I don't consider the irritation factor high enough to justify missing out on the *good* mail I get. So I find it hilarious when men complain about getting several spam memos a week.

[snark] I start to wonder if it matters so much to them because they don't get any other mail... [/snark]

Absolutely tragic.  Delete them, block them and get on with life.

Twoshoes -> RE: Financial Domme's?Yea right (8/26/2010 10:10:45 AM)

That won't ever happen to me on this site.

However, that is like my facebook "Requests" page on steroids. Except, it's people I know flooding me with spam there. I think they enjoy this... so I avoid clicking on that page!

P.S. Facebook is evil.

YOU'RE evil!

I mean...sorry. I get a bit defensive when someone insults Facebook, aka What I Do Instead of Interact With My Friends [8D]

As for spam, if the mods decide to start blocking the findommes, can they please block the guys who write oversexed form letters too? Or the guys who call me a c*** when I say thank you, but I'm not interested? That'd be great. [;)]

Maybe you should focus your OP on the men and why they do it and what they get out of seemingly nothing.

Probably they get the same thing from it as those who use phone "sex" services...or services of psychiatrists, who are significantly more costly.

Maybe.[:)]

I use it despite its wickedness. But this is the kind of time-wasting spam I'm talking about:
quote:

L. sent a request using Top Friends:
L. sent you a drink! First add Top Friends and get your drink!

This is a trick of some sort, right? And for the 387th time, L., virtual drinks do not count. Where's that "Ignore" button...

Edit: I ignore these usually, but I still get alot of them!
