It's probably of interest to no-one at all, but recently I saw a programme on late-night trash TV that had an item on some scientists who'd built a vast machine that replicated all the processes of the human digestive system. It actually pooped and farted, too - out of a giant, transparent pipe.

However, VC will undoubtedly know more about this, on account of she's a scientist herself, and that's what we pay her for.

One of the things it discovered is that much more beta-carotene is harvested by the body from cooked, liquidised carrots than from raw carrots, thus debunking the myth that uncooked automatically means more nutritious. Well you did ask.

That scene still has me in fits. Apparently, no-one had had ever farted on camera before. In that scene, a huge group of people were doing it. (I say 'people' - but no women were involved, if memory serves. Oh no. Women, even now, do not fart.)

Jeez! What an inhibition! I must say, I do think the OP has a point. Sex - perverted, deranged in all ways - had been portrayed frequently before that film came out. But - never, not once, a fart? It is odd, when you think about it.

Brilliant idea! If I sneak one into the chili, it may actually be safe to sleep in a camper with the nilla man thing and the male spawn.

So, would mylanta or gas x be better suited to subtley blending and enahcning the garlic and peppers without overpowering them?

I'm afraid not-the smelly kind of fart is caused by sugars that your body can't break down passing into your gut and being used for respiration by the bacteria there, which creates all sorts of stinky byproducts (and produces heat, which is why those farts are hotter).

I know for an undispted fact that male creatures have a genetic ability to produce gaseous matter anytime, anywhere, from nothing at all.
I also know that whatever proofreader let this slip into a 7th grade science book:
"Uranus has a gaseous atmosphere which gives it it's blueish green color" either had never met a jr high student, or is a twisted pervert with a sick sense of humor, lol
