Politesub,

I have always appreciated your posts but "ethnic cleansing"? REALLY? That's a complete lie. The whole point of "targeted killings is to avoid harming people that are innocent or less directly involved. I commend them for that. Bear in-mind that Israel still provides food, energy and money to the Palestinian territories.

Go to Israel and the Palestinian territories, I highly reccomend it to anyone interested. It's MUCH safer there than you think. You'll have a clearer view if you see for yourself.

Thank you for your post Miss SophieM. I apologise if ethnic cleansing was too strong a term. That said, we have enough stories here about Arabs being moved from their homes to make space for new settlements. We can call it whatever we like, but building on land owned by others surely isnt right.

First, what makes you think they owned the land, second I guess they dont have eminent domain laws in the UK or you'd know it isnt an uncommon practice.

Eh, what kind of opinion?

Well, I am crazy. All super-geniuses are crazy by definition, otherwise we could not be (nearly) always right.

Let me amend that: All super-geniuses have crazy thoughts by definition, for if they had normal thoughts, these would be as faulty thoughts as normal people have and in that case the supergeniuses would be normal people themselves and not be supergeniuses.

I didnt realize that Wile E Coyote was posting on CM

: To hear the European supporters of Hamas, the PLO, the Intifadah, et cetera tell it, there were no Jews in the ME until the Brits moved some Jews into "Palestine" and the Jews forced Palestinians to go to Jordan, Syria, the East End, and so on. Revisionist horseshit.

The Jewish population of Palestine in the 1930s was about 200,000. Palestinian Arabs numbered about 900,000

In 1948, the Jewish population of Palestine was about 700,000. Palestinian Arabs numbered about 156,000

Either the Jews bred like rabbits in 18 years, or a whole bunch of them moved in from elsewhere. And the Arabs? 700,000 vanished from the census in the same period. Revisionist horseshit? I don't think so.

I prefer to think the UN and Red Cross reports are correct, and that you are just making a wild guess. As for eminent domain laws, I think thats what we call compulsory purchases, used here when say a motorway or railway is being built. You wont find any such law in the UK which promotes one religious group to destroy the homes of another.
