Here's an example...We were all joking on this other thread and you wrote this. You felt the need to add the children thing in where it was conversationally inappropriate. This fed your ego. You wanted everyone to know you gave up drinking milk so your kids wouldn't go without..Very noble except for the fact that you were driven to post it by your ego to garner the attention for the noble deed.

Ummmmmm......... Yeah.

I actually don't drink milk.  I'm not lactose intolerant.  I use it for cooking and such, but I got it in My head years ago that I didn't need it because My children did.  I've just never broken the habit.

Just because people are joking, doesn't mean that a person shouldn't tell the truth.  The mentioning of why wasn't inappropriate, since My children today happen to be adults.  Neither of them lives at home, but I still have the same habit.


ETA - BTW, I don't eat most fruit, either.  That's just preference.

It has been proven now that milk is not required for children you can put the cows back in the barn.
