I've never had to use any painkillers myself nor have I ever heard of anyone needing them ... not even ibuprofen, 420 or aspirin. But every one is different :D For all types of waxing, use a HARD wax - eliminates the need for those ripping cloth strips ... feels REALLY REALLY GOOOOOOD going on and removal is also ... hmmm, nice. Always use a good oil afterward, not petroleum based if possible. Beauty supply stores carry all the products needed. You can get started for under $30 with a beginner's kit. Personally, I recommend that you go to the salon to have it done the first time, have your dom/me or sub come with you to take pics, watch the process and learn from it, then head straight over to the beauty supply store and pick up what you need. Eventually, you'll want to pick up a hot wax warmer, it'll melt the wax to the perfect temperature as opposed to microwaving it, which often times is uneven heat distribution and can burn. THAT's not fun at all. But slathering the hot wax on? DELIGHTFUL!
