Submission = slave? True = Owned (yes using you Owned in my response here... LOL) True sub... Owned slave BIG DAMN DIFFERENCE...... though we both submit... we submit differently. I can and will say No... she can but refuses to say No. I can and will do pretty much as I please on a day to day basis...... Owned can... but doesn't This list can go on and on... but why... it's obvious we both submit... but we're not both slaves. I'm a submissive..... Owned... I said it right then... you can .... but you say you can't.... that's where we clash some what.... I feel you can.. but won't.. because you choose not to.. you choose to remain in your slavery... so there for you can.. but don't or won't....LOL... and that's the difference... as I personally see it. Any one can... should they choose too.... they live with the aftermath as well... [:D]

a sub has and sets limits on what they will and won't submit to.the sub is allowed to keep some of their independance and remain a seperate entity.the sub controls the show. a slave is controlled totally(at least in this one's neck of Gor).no limits but what their owners allow them to have.the Owner is in charge of all. the slave does what the owner says because it pleases her to do.she was given up all rights but what the owner allows her to have(they become priviledges).she is property of the owner.

Suffice to say the two terms are not interchangable..and it looks like several of the previous posts defined it fairly well. You'll find that the precise definitions will vary, but most of the time there is a serious distinction between the two.

Slave is a definition (I don't get to have a title, lol). It is much easier however, to tell people "I am a slave to my Master." rather than, "I submit to my Master in all he says, in all I do, without limits, without safe words, and without the option of saying no." The word "slave" kinda wraps that up for me. :)

Let the relationship define if one is submissive or slave......girl is saying this because she started out submissive and slowly over time became a slave. it took her a long time to be able to trust her Master that passed away to take her from having limits to not having limits other than those He set for her. girl thanks Him for taking the time He did with her and while she misses Him dearly, she still remembers what He said....."There is no such thing as a stupid question, except that which is NOT asked My pet." girl says: let it be where it is and go from there.
