Stalin would have called you a "useful idiot," and shipped your ass to Siberia the moment you stopped being useful, Yngblk.

And Hitler would have killed you for the hell of it.......you aren't making sense. Though, I am positive that you too believed there were WMD's didn't you. Go on and admit it.

Maybe you should ask the Kurds or Iranians about those, Yngblk.

Either Hitler or Stalin would have had me killed. I don't sit quietly for totalitarians of any stripe.

I knew this guy was a gay gypsy Trotsyite.

I find that hard to believe

That's quite alright, Moon. I find it hard to give a shit about your beliefs.

So you can't cite an example of anything Obama's done which is informed by Marxist philosophy. What a surprise.

He doesn`t have to.

In the new(ish) fuxnews filled neo-conservative mindset, argument backed by facts isn`t what`s most important.

Argumentum ad populum.

"A fallacious argument that concludes a proposition to be true because many or all people believe it"

That,.........is what really counts.

Maybe, but if he's claiming to have read all of Marx, you'd think he'd able to be at least try to lay a foundation for his castle in the clouds, wouldn't you?

Two questions, Moon.

1) Why would you, or your little cheerleaders here, assume I'd set my reply schedule to your watch?

2) Why do you tell such stupid lies?

No such claim was made. I was raised on Marxism/Communism. It was the family religion, and I was the evangelist's kid. I classify people who have read every word of Marx in the same folder with those who have studied the complete works of Norman. I read enough of it later.

Beneath the endless theories and analysis, setting aside the history of misery, malaise, brutal totalitarianism, and the murder of millions, Marx relies on a single, stupid, hypothesis. He presumes that humans will naturally wish to live as part of a harmonious herd. It don't work that way. In this respect, my opinion is that a comparison to President Obama is quite apt. But I don't go running around calling Obama a communist, either, so it's moot.

Too late Fidel, it does no good to close the barn door after the livestock have escaped.

For not caring about his little slip up though, American Leftists here on collarchat are awfully eager to try to shore his little island commune up, arent they.

Yea, I wonder if the US implanted dictator Fulgencio Batista thought that way when Castro overthrew him, along with William F Buckley Sr's oil paradise and Lucky Luciano's mobster ways in the process. You know, the same Batista that oppressed his own people far worse than Castro has, and for the benefit of American corporate interest no less. No wonder we placed a trade embargo on Castro, he not only didn't play nice with the right wing nuts, he tossed them out. Viva La Revolution!!!

Can you tell us why Chinese commies are so much more acceptable?

Castro says comments on Cuban economy were misinterpreted

No, actually it is not.

It sounded strange to me that Castro would make a comment like that when I first heard it.  Does it make sense to you that he would denounce what he spent his whole life working for?

The reporter said it was an off-hand remark that Castro did not elaborate on.  Considering the significance of the comment I wonder why the interviewer did not question him further on the point.

My guess from the start was an interpretation problem.  Castro, from my understanding, has only a limited knowledge of English, so either the interviewer spoke Spanish or there was an interpreter.  In any case, plenty of opportunity for a misquote.

Nice try comrade but his admission, which its obvious that what he initially said is true,  blew up in Fidels face.

Hes attempting damage control now so that his own party doesnt suspend him by his balls in a dark dungeon somewhere as theyve done to so many others before for  smaller offenses than that.

Remember, Sanity, the only reason communism fails so often is because the wrong people have been in charge.

Mission accomplished, then; Reichskanzler.

People here spend alot of time pounding their pud about what people said, not about what they are doing, much to our slow and certain undoing.

HAVANA – Fidel Castro told a visiting American journalist that Cuba's communist economic model doesn't work, a rare comment on domestic affairs from a man who has conspicuously steered clear of local issues since stepping down four years ago.

How do you measure 'works'? In what respect do you determine value?

What you mean is......according to your preconceived ideas.....driven by your background.....you don't agree with the 'communist economic model'.....no surprise there as you wouldn't based on the things you value which is in large part reinforced by your background as opposed to an objective view of a system of government.

If you were being honest......the United States isn't exactly 'working' either......there's a lot in this world that people aren't particularly pleased about....such as how a small and determined group of people can hold such sway and power over 99% of the population....that isn't working....you've got a system over there where your politicians are bought and paid for...utterly in the back pockets of big business.

It's not that I like Communism....I just find your repetitive and ultimately tedious attempts to look anywhere but in the mirror...to be mildly amusing.

Well Sanity, thank you for your usual well-thought, intelligent reply.

I wouldn't have expected anything more from you.

But maybe you could try to force yourself, just this once, to look at the points I raised and respond to them instead of trying to deflect with your usual nonsensical bullshit.

The points you made up to try to defend Cuban Communism?

Castro isn't pretending it was a translation error. Why are you?
