Here's hoping you've learned not to vote on hope anymore but, rather, on substance.

McCain and Palin would have provided more substance?

McCain changes his mind on every issue to conform to the direction the political wind is blowing and Palin is.........well..........Palin.

This thread is about an Obama supporter taking him to task on his record, and you paint his former opponents as people to run from.

Obama taught you well.

Well, let's review Jimbo.

I know you have problems with short-term memory, but not to worry, I'm here to help.

You suggested that the other poster should have voted for more substance than Obama.

That would mean he would have had to vote for McCain/Palin.

I have been disappointed in Obama for a long time...ever since he wimped out on Healthcare. He's beholden to the same bunch as the rest of them, and expecting anything truely different from him is a fool's game. He's been bought and sold by K Street.

And I'm sure Obama is disappointed to lose your vote.

Don't worry though, we're trying to change the rules and get Bush back in 2012.

Then we'll invade and bring freedom and democracy to liberate you from your oppressive socialist regime.

Oh Canada!  Our soon-to-be 51st state.

He'll be as mad as a box of badgers by then. It's a tradition that republican presidents lack in grey matter from day one, and by the time they retire, most of their overworked braincells have surrendered and dozed off. I don't think Bush is coming back unless he's changed his attitude to stem cell therapy.

why did she use the word, 'of'?  It doesn't make sense to me.

It sticks out, doesn't it, Ron? It sounds like a personal edit, deciding "exhausted" sounded better than the "tired," which would have fit in so seamlessly. The problem with pulling out the more syllabically endowed verbiage is that you don't always get a 1 - 1 match on structure.

It's also very possible that she realized she was speaking to the President of the United States, on TV, and got a little nervous. She made herself understood, regardless of how she structured her statements, and that's what matters
