I own a pre-owned, and I absolutely love her! She has the experience in the lifestyle and in life to know what she wants and what she is interested in, as well as how she works and what she needs. She knows how far she can go and under what circumstances. She knows how to obey and be respectful... and I'm looking forward to getting many many more miles out of her.

Creative - true :D Maybe the "pre-owned slaves" should start calling themselves Vintage. XD

I don't think I count as vintage till I'm at least 35. Or at least that is what I'm being told when I say that I'm a cougar-in-training.

Concur. 35 is actually borderline and a lot of stress fators common to that decade can interfere with the vintage-cougar agenda. Many women, in my observation, don't really start to come into their full prime until their early 40s. But take heart, in your 30s you can still do the MILF gig--well, assuming you're willing to bear babies for that title.

*laughs* I'm planing on being a mother but not bearing my own. We're going the adoption route if at all possible. As for a cougar "agenda", it's truly a joke around here with me and my groups. Stemming from the fact that - for whatever reason - at certain events I get chased by and flirted with by 17-19 year old males disproportionately. Hence the "in-training". I'm practicing for when I get older.

Formerly owned as opposed to pre-owned, as formerly owned conjures thoughts of being previously owned from the here and now ie: present time, while pre-owned conjures up images of a pre-owned auto that clearly has nothing to do with owning a slave, at least that is not how I view a woman to be likened to an auto.

Take care!

Pre-owned. Used. Hmm Well, I guess I'm a pre-owned submissive then. Daddy is just glad that He is the One that owns me now. There are good points and bad to being pre-owned just like there is with anything else. lol I've never heard pre-owned used in reference to a person before..... I don't think it would bother me though.

Of course I am pre-owned by this age.  But I am certified pre-owned.  If I had not had some relationships by this age, there would be something seriously wrong with me.

I really like the concept of "certified pre-owned." :D

I think "pre-owned" may be a more relevant factor when considering a slave than a submissive. In addition to having had some relationships by this age (which I agree, certainly lowers one's "creep level!"), a pre-owned slave "knows the score." This person knows what they are are in for because they have experienced it before.

What are they in for? With slavery, it's (a) anything the mistress (or the master) wants and (b) nothing that their owner does not want to give them. That's all. But the difference between imagining what that situation is like and actually having lived it can be immense, and in some cases the imaginer, no matter how much potential they seem to have, reaches a point where they cannot bring themselves to take that blind leap off one edge and trust to their owner to...well, to do whatever they will do at that point. (There are really no guarantees in this; just trust and hope, informed by the impressions gained of the person you give yourself to.) Although it is terrifying for some, from a pre-owned perspective, this leap is the easy part. Living with your decision, accepting whatever comes your way after making it, day after day, year after year, is the real test. Someone who has an informed idea of the scope of what that may entail and who still wants or needs it above any other style of life, might ... have a sound engine? ;)

So, pre-owned, at least in a slave, means not only that he's leapt into the chasm but that he's experienced a good deal of "what happens next." And, while "what happens next" varies a lot from owner to owner, there are some common general features, some of them quite difficult or trying. If I were a potential owner of a person, I'd consider it a plus knowing the other individual had faced hard things before and preservered through them. Of course, just saying "I'm a pre-owned slave" is no guarantee to anybody that you actually are, but like any other assertion of experience, it usually becomes evident what is real and what is memorex during exploratory talks, similar to the way the truth of resume statements can be accurately judged in an interview if the interviewer is knowledegable in the field. Yes, pre-owned slaves come with patterns instilled upon them by their former owner(s) many of which may need to be broken down and removed, but I have seldom met someone capable of owning another person who didn't, to some small (but extremely perverse) degree, derive a little enjoyment from that pesky bit of "housekeeping."

As for me, I am not only pre-owned but I am in the "just one owner" category. :D I bet Ol' Cal could sell me!

Well, it might bother you--just a little--if you were subjected to Cal Worthington commericals in your youth. :D (I put a link to one in my last post, if you are curious!)

BTW, I like your new avater a lot! This one is, hands down, my favorite. :)

Yes, excellent word choice. "Formerly owed" sounds much better and I will use it in the future.

Thanks!

ROFL! A teen magnet. Woo-woo! That's very funny...and also quite cute. Thank you for explaining what the "cougar training" was all about. It was a very intriguing concept when you introduced it--but subject to misinterpretation, at least in my unruly imagination. ;)

Online, in the games, I find that the 12-14 yr. old male crowd is disproportionately draw to my avatars--even if the latter are ugly male dwarves. :/ Rather than being a "magnet," however, I suspect this is a clear case of "like calls to like." :/

Thank you all for the replies :)

Luci you're right that what people choose to call themselves is their own business, it just struck me as an odd turn of phrase, so I was wondering if it was common.

Creative - true :D Maybe the "pre-owned slaves" should start calling themselves Vintage. XD

I would wonder if it would be more about compatibility. I know everyone has their preferences but if you wanted a preowned slave but met someone inexperienced and completely hit it off, .....and vice versa...where would one go from there?

My commute at one time had me passing a used RV business. They called them "pre-loved" It was cute.
