Well, I'm a gay guy, but I must echo what a number of women here have said - it's not about lack of interest in genitalia per se, it's that it's usually a pretty poor way of introducing yourself at an early juncture. When a wang lands in my inbox on first email it's the same for me as if I was on a first date and some guy stood up and dropped his pants in the middle of a restaurant dinner. I may have liked that part of him otherwise, but the place and timing reflects badly on him.

I also feel there might be a difference in gender-values here. Most guys are more willing to show their genitalia to strangers than women are willing to show theirs ( there are always exceptions, of course ), so that for straight guys, female regions are more tantalizingly unavailable. If you want some guy waving their wang at you ( even in person, if you so choose ), all you need fifteen minutes and an internet connection.

I am not interested in what a male is 'blessed' with or not -- I am interested in the total person, not just the genitals. At best, sex is brief and fleeting, whereas the person's 'soul'/'spirit', their mind and their goals in mind and how I fit in those goals are much more important.

For as long as I've been on the site, women have spoken time and time again on this issue. (Please note that the thread that Red pulled up for you is from last year.) men are generally more visual than women. also generally speaking here, women are looking for relationships where men are looking for a booty call, and possibly a relationship but that is secondary to sexual attraction. if a man asks to naked pics of me, i think he is more interested in sex than me the person.

Wrote this in my journal 3 years ago. Still accurately reflects my opinion on this subject.

Here's the thing. I like a man's little soldier as much as anyone.
