Perhaps of those 92 % of men who did not recognise 9/11 were more concerned about the running of their day to day lives in bandit country than wondering what was happening in places they had never seen nor were ever likely to go to, it just does figure on their radar. Afghanistan is nothing like any of our countries and in places very third world, what with marauding gangs of brigands and regional war lords they have enough on their plate in just surviving than wondering what the rest of the world does, if that is they think of a world outside their own and neighbouring lands, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Iran and China, where the ancient trade routes ran, their trade I believe was mined lapis lazuli, which was at the time of the Russian invasion, still being carried over the mountains by pack horse.
