I noticed how no-one apart from you commented on that. Attention-seeking much, yourself?

What a surprise. An unpleasant one-liner from one of the resident unpleasant users.

It's the truth.  Sorry if that's unpleasant to you.

Have a tissue.

Asking a question might be a breach of etiquette in your world, but it isn't in mine.

That is a ridiculous thing to say. I can think of a thousand and one questions that are a breach of etiquette to ask.

How much money do you earn?
Is the man listed on the birth certificate *really* the father of this child?
Why is that bridesmaid so ugly?

It's a breach of etiquette to ask a question that you *know* will put the person you're asking in a difficult position. 'You've clearly been careful not to name the person you're talking about out of tact and respect for the TOS. Fuck all that-is it me?' is one of those questions.

(And well done for implying that I'm attention-seeking again in your reply to Stef. Not everyone who disagrees with you is seeking attention. Like I said, easier to cast aspersions on why  I'm talking than actually listen to what I'm saying.)

You don't know me, and you are therefore not qualified to tell me what is or is not acceptable to me. If anyone has a problem with me asking a question, they have an absolute right not to answer, or to take any one of a wide range of available approaches to the issue.

You chose to involve yourself, uninvited, in an exchange between two other users of this forum, apparently to draw attention to yourself, by accusing me of attention-seeking and of breaching your rules. That's fine. But it is what it is.

I'm not going to feed into your attention-seeking any more.

A couple of things, before you go:

I didn't. I told you what was a breach of *etiquette*, not a breach of your personal sense of what is acceptable. Your sense of ethics or whatever is totally your own and it can be whatever you want ot to be, but etiquette is *collective*.

Dude, that's how forums work. If you want a private conversation then have one in a private arena. If you have a conversation in front of such a massive readership then expect the peanut gallery to call you out on bad behaviour.

And you *also* chose to involve yourself uninvited in an exchange between two other users, demanding to know if that exchange was about you. How is that any different? Hipocrisy, much?

It's still not attention seeking, because this conversation isn't about me. But bye, then. Although given quite how much of a fuss you made about blocking Stef the other day and how you're now back to reponding to her, I'm not sure I believe you.

I wonder if anyone has blocked me yet?

I know some have, simply because of the photo.

As for the topic...........there are A LOT of people who's posts I don't read. Some because they are so negative and snarky (see this thread as an example) and many post nothing but stupidity diguised as either long winded wisdom or just boring babble they seem to feel is witty. There are some, that do nothing but posture and postulate, always trying to make themselves look better when instead it only serves to shine a glaring light on their insecurities.

The thing is, if I am bordering on bored, reading some of the above can be entertaining, though not for the reason the person intended. I can laugh, ridicule (hey I never said I wasn't a sadistic bitch), or snort and roll my eyes.

Regardless, it's easy for me to scroll right past the trash. Hell, I am a mother and grandmother, I can tune out any sort of noise, quite effectively.

To Lady Pact - Love Bill Cosby.  Thank you for that wonderful video.  I went to a party last week, and I think every one of those folks was there!  LOL.  I suppose it is like the hide button - I rarely go out because I don't like to be around drunk people.  So I "hide" them by not going to the bar.  I'd forgotten how much fun people can be on the way there.  Once they get to the "drunk" place, not so attractive, but the process can be entertaining.

Merry merry!
sunshine

Same here.  It's an old routine but I still get a laugh out of it even today.  I know the clip is long, but the best part to Me is the bit..... "Remember, you deserve this/owe this to yourself".  That makes it classic.

I think people can be fun in that place in the middle.  Before the obvious over intoxicated state where they have just had a drink or two.  That's not to say that, if they over-indulge and have to pay the price, I won't point out their misery.  LOL.
