ORIGINAL: RapierFugue As I said, it's hugely variable. I've had slaves who could take very heavy beatings reduced to uncontrolled wailing in a matter of minutes on it, and yet others who were quite "light" in impact terms who barely felt it. Out of interest, what's your tolerance for chillies & curries? In other words, do you eat a lot of spicy food, and if so do you serve it very spicy? A Dom I know put an Naga chilli in his subs pussy. When she started scream uncontrollably he removed it and not realizing it would make things worse, he put her in the shower. He looked for help online and discovered milk would take the heat away and so he promptly poured a glass of milk inside her (not sure if he drank the milk shake!) Two hours later he drove his hysterically sobbing sub to the emergency room where the sniggering nurses treated her with some magic potion. If your going to use a chilli, don't use a particularly hot one. I've never tried the following on “private parts”, but it’s true of curries burning your mouth: People misunderstand about the milk thing; while it’s true that the fats in milk help reduce the burn from chillies because chilli oils are soluble in fats, they are not present in milk in sufficient quantities to do all that much good – as soon as the milk is gone the burning returns. So, one can either use yoghurt (as per Indians and Pakistanis, who drink lassi, a yoghurt-based drink) which is slightly better, or one can eat a small knob of butter* - the butter is concentrated fats of the kind which make chilli oils soluble, so the effects are fast and effective. One other technique, and I have absolutely no idea why this works, is to use an artificial sweetener; a teaspoon of “Sweetex” or similar will remove almost all burning from your mouth in seconds flat. It even works if you use those tiny pellets (brand name Hermesetas in the UK), although not as well as the pre-mixed sugar substitutes. What I do is grab a couple of small packets whenever I’m in a cafe and store them in a drawer. What I don't understand is why it works; one theory I considered was that the artificial sweetener works on exactly the same taste buds in the same way as chilli, but more so, so the chilli oils get sort of “sidelined”, but if anyone knows for sure then by all means say so. As I say I've got no idea if either technique would work on chilli burning in more sensitive areas, but I would imagine the butter would do. Fucking messy, mind :) Also, ginger burning isn't exactly the same thing as chillies burning, so more experimentation may be required :) * “he had nerves of steel, a heart of gold ... and a knob of butter” ;)
