I think that the concept of limit is a function of relationship. By that I mean that in some relationships I have consented to no limits and in some I have negotiated a safe signal.
My final word here is that I would not know what I was consenting to no matter how defined the activities if I did not know whom I was playing with. This may also be partially die to the fact that I don't do 'play' activities that are distinct from relationship. The closest I have come to that is when I have been 'loaned' as a submissive but then what I would term 'full rights' to limitations have been put in place.
As a woman in the dominant position I am wary at the moment of submissive males who insist on no limits. It is not that I do not trust myself and my abilities to take responsibility but it feels rather odd to me at this time that submission is deemed better or greater because it is of a no limits nature.
Is it a public play session? Is it someone you already know? Is it someone who is using this limited period of no limits as a test? If so as a test of whom? You? Or themnselves? Taking away the rights to limits under unknown conditions seems rather foolish, in my opinion and I would need to have those questions above answered before I could advise further or even have empathy with the situation.

LP makes me very glad I DON'T have a penis. Yikes. I would enjoy watching the sessions happen though.

if they're people who basically have the same limits you do, then it's not really "no limits." a lot of "no limits" stuff (from relationships to play) is done with carefully selected people who have the same limits -- there ARE limits, but they're moot because they're shared. aside from those shared-yet-somehow-nonexistent-limits, "anything goes."

Very perceptive as no limits is actually an assumption based on what the othee (dominant) person defines as no limits.
When you find out they have a hidden vanilla wife, or want to pimp you or have you starve yourself into shape??? Whereas we can all of us define what the boundaries of limits are it is logically impossible to define the boundary of 'no limits'. (Akin to defining infinity).
That's why I stick to my principle of no limiys being a function of relationship, meaning knowing the other person.

That's how it is for Master and I,

We share the same limits, so for us we say we don't have any, I don't need a safeword because he won't do anything I wouldn't be happy with, we have played this way since I was collared to him with no problems, however....if your playing with people you don't know, I wouldn't do it with no limits, too dangerous.

These sound like limits to me. No limits to me, means "no exceptions."

Limits come from the bottom/submissive. If I decide that none of those things will occur then that's that. I call the shots. If the bottom/submissive insists on these boundaries then they become limits. If a bottom/or submissive wants some activity really badly and I'm not interested then she can go find some service top to meet her needs.
