I completely agree with you regarding instantaneous gratification, but that is ancillary to the issue here. I am not saying that personal relationships should be easy to find. I am saying that I would feel sympathetic for you if you were at a bar or a social gathering trying to meet women and home depot or your grocer were constantly trying to sell you hammers and oranges. That's the essence of this issue; difficulty finding what you are looking for.

Yeah, life is just so damn hard. No way can we smile at what is, get on with it and keep on keeping on... no... we must feel sorry for ourselves, want no challenges... easy livin or we get emotional boo boo's from all the mean guys. Life was for living, hard work, hard play and enjoying the ride. Some people can just ruin even a wet dream. I feel a tad bit sorry for folks that just can't have a good time and those that must find a way to complain about how difficult it is. You really don't know difficult. Really...

Yes, you... you think your sympathy with whiners is going to do them any favors? We all have scammer types. All of us. If somebody needs sympathy... find someone that really has a challenge. Real challenges.. not this shit about.. whaaaaa... there are too many scammers... whaaaa.. I can't find a domina.. whaaaa all my brothers... lets fight the good whine fight, tell them how we feel. Well here are a few things I do know. 1. Irony - like someone complaining about people complaining. Hey kettle, you're black. 2. Sympathy and complaining are not synonymous. 3. An exercise in futility; such as arguing with someone incapable of exercising critical thinking (you). The reason I know these things is because I have worked hard to do so rather than throw sand on my vagina when someone says something I disagree with lol

Rule, that isn't what I said. You twisted it all up. If online and in front of a keyboard isn't fun for you and its making you whiny... go have some fun! Isn't that what life is about? Enjoying it? Attitude has a lot to do with enjoyment in life. Twist away if you like... I'm going to do something more fun.

The internet has opened up the market for many things way outside the lifestyle. It has done for S&M what cable did for TV; more channels but sometimes a whole lot less to watch.

FR The site says, in multiple places "do not send money to other users" ... The mods have better things to do with their UNPAID time than to deal with crap like that. If people send money, then sorry ... does the saying "a fool and his money are soon parted" ring a bell? At least you can weed out those who are not compatable with you quickly - and that's what the "hide" and "block" functions are for ... find them, use them - they are your friends. If someone says in their profile that they require tribute of some sort, and you don't want to give it ... hide the profile, move on. Wow, difficult. If you feel that they are truly compatable otherwise, then message them and ask if there is something that you can do besides money. Someone on here requires a postcard from the hometown of whoever they are talking with to be mailed to them. That is, technically, tribute - is it hard? No. Is it going to financially ruin anyone? No. Does it show that the person is willing to put in a bit of effort? Yes. Offering to donate to charity is another good thing to offer. If they insist on money or expensive goods ... well, time to move on. Hide/block and view the next profile. On the other hand, if someone DOESN'T have it in their profile that they require some version of tribute, then they demand it - well, in my opinion, that person is not to be trusted ... click hide and move on. And as Lockit said (which I actually understood from her initial post about it ... amazing sometimes what gets mis-interpreted) ... if online is frustrating you so badly, go offline - enjoy your hobbies, spend time with real people. Then the pixels you see online are far less annoying.

Compatability and probability are two separate issues. Statistical analysis can be applied to who you date just as much as the weather, the lottery, and practically everything else. No one is saying that if there were less pros the OP would find a match. I'm saying that the more pros in the pile decreases the chance of finding someone to be compatible with. That's just the way it is. Laziness has nothing to do with it. Absolutely nothing. The OP isn't saying he doesn't wish to search, or that the search is too cumbersome and it should be easier, he's saying his search is frustrated. It's an entirely separate issue than just laziness. SweetDommes makes the most pragmatic suggestion of all, calling for a filtered search.

I would disagree. In a sense, laziness is a part of it if we are speaking of those where the only effort is to be searching on the net. Let's face it. There is less effort required to create a profile and skim through ads. Much less than actually preparing one's self to shower, dress, and go to the local munch. If someone expects to sit in the comfort of their home and have the offers just rolling in, that's not the same as getting out to the real world and trying to meet people. The question is, how much are you willing to DO.

No doubt you can say i spend a lot of time on the keyboard as well, because i do. But it is because i WANT to. I am here because i enjoy it. I enjoy some of the other posters and spending time on the boards. If i didn't like it, i sure as hell would not torture myself by staying here. Why would i? Life is too short not to be as happy as we can be at all times. Without a doubt there are things we have to do that are not enjoyable...that is a part of life. And there are the things we like to do that have their unpleasant moments which, again, is a life thing. The choice here is you can either tolerate and make the best of the unpleasantness, or you can remove yourself from the situation. Either choice is acceptable. On the contrary...my guess is if you were in our shoes, you would find yourself as annoying as we do. If you were hounded in a hardware or grocery to buy items you do not want or need, would you stand in the store and complain/whine to the other customers? You might, but they would probably either ignore you or tell you to go elsewhere.

Let's refrain from personal attacks please. For anyone having difficulty with the search features on the other side, the following information may help you: If you are in the United States - use the "distance" feature to only show profiles within a reasonable distance from you. Further refine your parameters by setting gender, orientation, age, etc. When you end up with a reduced list of people local to you, then go thru them and use the "hide user" feature for anyone that doesn't fit your desires (such as requiring tribute). If you are outside the United States - set your country, then use the "keyword or city" feature to only show profiles in your area, then continue as above regarding further refining your parameters.
