You miss the point anyway, which is if it were anything substantial (meaning serious) you would think it would actually make the news. Instead where is it, leftwing blogs and "the cap times" which no one has ever heard of.

Why isnt CNN all over it. Where is MSNBC? CBS?

Anything major, even left wing.

And no, Huffington is so far out there, please.

Because the call was recorded without the gov's permission, most legitimate news stations did not play the whole thing. Some stations only played a few sound bytes.  They only provided a LINK to the original Beast website or youtube.

Even the local Milwaukee TV news broadcasts explicitly said that when they broke the story.

For those TV stations, I'm pretty sure the Newt thing was in the front of their lawyer's minds.  Outspoken, top of the news cycle, center-of-attention Republicans can be a litigious bunch. There has been a precedent set.

But then again, placing a call is not intercepting phone signals.  I can see where the Newt thing did cross FCC rules, while prank calls are placed everyday with no consequences.

I'm pretty sure their lawyers were just being extra cautious.

Apparently If its not on drudge, fox,,and  rush, beck, WND and malkin haven't made a remark, then it didn't happen on a "reputable" site
The fact that there are more than 7 million hits on the phrase "walker phone call" and several thousand on "prank call walker" means nothing.

It's not a violation of federal law to record a conversation as long as one of the two parties is aware that the call is being recorded, not is it a violation of Wisconsin state law. Don't you ever get tired of displaying your ignorant paranoia?

Ironic, isn't it, that the libertarian crowd is FOR the removal of a person's freedom of choice. Who would have ever thought?  It must be this new brand of libertarianism is more self-centered, rather than class-centered. Whats in it for me. Kinda like sub-prime borrowers living in fancy houses. That, too, was all about 'whats in it for me'.

Question of the day:

If the Barry Goldwater political movement came of age during the iPod/Facebook era, would it have been "all about me" libertarianism, too?
