Your assuming that the persons involved were unnecessary, while i have in the text that she became angry her partner started making comments when it applied to someone being close to them....

Fair enough. He could have been another model involved that just became a distraction, yes.

Edit: the way she worded the OP, though, it seemed to me he wasn't there for anything specifically related to the shoot itself, but that might just be a lack of divulged information.

Yes I think making strong emotional statements about things you HATE, in front of people who display those characteristics is lacking tact.

To the OP,

Age has nothing to do with it, that guy's still going to be a dick when he's thirty. Provided of course he sticks to his regimen of excuses and lack of regard for anyone but himself.

I sometimes miss the days of unconcerned youth, when if someone said something ignorant and hurtful, and I punched them in the mouth, I got a few days of vacation, and peaceful silence upon my return. Too bad life doesn't stay that simple.

I hope I offended at least 90% of the board with that statement. I'm thinking about going out on the street and do the same, out loud, can pretend I'm on the phone. If people cannot handle other peoples conversations they shouldn't be listening.
If they overheard, then they shouldn't take offense 'cause a person has the right to have an opinion and express it, it's not like the person is pulling you down to the ground beating you.

If a person is so sensitive (or oversensitive) about their look they should work on their self-esteem, or if it's the fat they should do something about it. It's not an excuse for everybody else having to tiptoe around them as if they was the most fragile vase.

However, if I do notice a person that fits whatever indecent thing I am going to say, I either tune it down or keep quiet until that person cannot hear me anymore, but that's ONLY because I noticed them and it's out of courtesy. Otherwise, I don't give a rats ass about who hears what I say in my own personal conversation with somebody.

Aye, but you might think differntly if someone that you did admire, respect, would not consider ridiculing.......turned the tables, left you feeling embarrassed, humiliated, mortified, bad about yourself.........and walked away.

In essence, giving you a taste of your own medicine.

I am often an insensitive cow. One thing I do know, if I am being an insensitive cow I have ulteriour motives. If I don't want to be hurtful, I am going to police myself enough that the odds are greatly decreased in my doing so.

True, I have said something to somebody without realizing that it applied to the person behind me or somewhere around. When I realize it I change the subject.

I have been on the other side, but I shrug it off because frankly I don't care. I don't really call it insensitivity unless you are explicitly aware of somebody being in the area that your words could apply to, but then I usually don't scream my statements all over the place and I don't often talk about peoples characteristics in public either, that's my choice though..I don't really mind what other people do as long as they don't target a specific individual.

It's no surprise that one person likes one type but not the other. It's just part of being human.
The response the 21yo dude is talking about is douchy, I don't really get how a person may never notice other people..but I also believe that one shouldn't have to tiptoe around with their opinions if they haven't noticed the person...like somewhere in a public place.
Still, obviously if he had stood next to the chick and seen her I would've considered insensitive. I don't know but I think it's overreaction on the chicks part and insensivity on his part..BUT only due to the nature of his explanation/excuse.

edited.....and if I admired the person? mm haven't been there, can't say what my reactions would be. However, if the chick admired him I might understand her reactions, but insensitivity(IF the guy was a decent bloke)..still not sure.

I'd also like to add, if one if going to call themselves a "BBW" they should at least have the self-confidence to believe that they're beautiful and not be in tears that they aren't someone's particular niche. And hey, for all we know the douche in question may have been talking about obese people and she may just have been overweight. Large difference. Overweight people I can deal with and if they've got a pretty face, aint no thing but a pterodactyl wing. Obese though? No thank you. I'm not a fan of any form of self-destruction. I also hate over population, the burden on medicine they cause, and having to sit next to them on airplanes just after the beautiful woman that made prolonged eye-contact and smirked at me floats by the empty seat beside me. Bastards.

Also to add, despite her being overly sensitive, if I were her Dom/Significant other/even a very good friend, the guy who made her cry would have been put in his place via words or physical action. But I guess I'm just a DomlyDom McMartyr.

Was he a fellow model or your guest?

I am asking because in any job I have ever had that has allowed visitors, it has always been with the provision that I am responsible for them.
So, once he behaved badly, and had it been me if he had been a guest, I would have asked him to leave.
He was being disruptive at your job and was being disrespectful to one of your co-workers in a way that was possibly going to affect her job performance.
That goes beyond his being a clueless douche to her.
He was disrespecting you, the photographer and crew.

And for the people who are kind of saying, "So, what's the big deal, she should have just put on her big girl panties and dealt with it..." (referring to the other model), I would like to draw your attention to the bolded parts above.
Clearly it was not just one off-handed remark.
He went "off" about it (suggesting a rant), requiring the OP to try numerous times to get him to stop, which means it was of prolonged duration.

Eh, I think that this community in general is overly accepting of obesity. Probably because, at least it seems, that there is a higher percentage of obesity among the folks in the community than in the general population. (although that number is getting pretty high too.)

While ultimately I think obesity has a lot to do with a global food and drug conspiracy (dun dun dun) a great deal of it is self control. For a group that is so big on discipline, few people have it when it comes to keeping a healthy body. (And there is no such thing as a healthy obese person.)

And just because....

It's all NZ's fault I work a few modeling gigs a year now. Thanks to a photo shoot we did when I was visiting him, my local photographers saw his work and jumped on me. Since that first photo shoot, and doing a few down here my rigger has gained the attention of Osada Steve, and has gone to Japan three times to work with the Kinbaku Masters there. My photographers work with me and my rigger was placed this year in the DirtyShow in Detroit, one of the largest international erotic art exhibits in this country.

So, thanks NZ. Couldn't have done it with out you.
