I have always though 4chan mischief originated from those who used to be the bullied nerds when they were younger. Now they can collect as a mass (with out having to socialize... or just socialize under /(insertletterhere)/ themes) and concoct brilliant schemes to get back at the world and fap to lolicon.
Lots of generalizations.
I admit I got a chuckle out of this news article. It IS funny at others' misfortune.
