Handcuffs69 -> Writing Lines as Punishment (4/15/2011 3:20:53 PM)

Hello there,

Have any Subs or Dom/mes ever used Written tasks as a method of punishment?

Any good stories, horrible experiences?

That sounds like a particularly mean and clever punishment!

I discovered this fetish a while back on myspace and ended up joining a yahoo group out of curiousity. The main issue was that I had to request to be punished, which kind of defeated the purpose.

I quite like research tasks though. They can be fun and actually quite interesting!

I love to use my hand to write so I would probably enjoy this punishment, assuming it wasn't with a long, thin black quill with an unusually sharp point. [;)]

You should watch out when doing this punishment.  The person may just hear a school-bell ring, jolt out the door on a skateboard, and interfere with Homer Simpson's daily struggle for peace and quiet.

We often use writing tasks for training purposes (such as training assignments), for punishments, and as work chores/tasks to serve Us. I also like having a slave post online his devotion for Me and to tell everyone how much he worships Me. When he does this it shows Me his sincerity and that he is serious about being My slave. I love a slave who is talented at writing.

yes he has used them as punishment and discipline in the past, having to write lines like we used to do on the chalkboard at school but on paper instead and have had to write essays on different subjects.

lovelyesme -> RE: Writing Lines as Punishment (4/15/2011 5:24:58 PM)

i have never had to do this.  i wonder if it will make me as wet as standing in the corner. or spankings.i love to write, and he hates to read so i may never find out.  i do understand, of course, my enjoyment is not the point. Still.....

Greetings,

my previous partner used writing exercises as a process of enhancing my creativity and proficiency. However, when making assignments there were instances when the topics selected were based on comments or a position he wanted me to argue from an analytical perspective without emotional interference. In terms of unpleasantness, that was usually relegated to erotica pieces on subjects that held zero interest or were somewhat disconcerting to my sensibilities. It was expected that i would present my thoughts convincingly and would not allow preexisting prejudices to influence my muse. One of the most challenging assignments involved sexual violation. i had a difficult time placing myself in the victim's position and wrote it from the predator's instead.

Namaste,

~porcelaine

Which kind of makes them a pointless punishment for you eh? Personally, I'd make you copy out whatever book it is in the bible that is just one long geneology full of begats.

A punishment is NOT supposed to be fun...that's what fun time is for.

OK, fine then! You have officially added to my "totally squicky list"

First there was spinal tap play
Then there was (and dear god I shudder just to write this) eyeball licking.
And now we have copying endless begats.

I think my vanilla sensibilities are finally on overload. I'll inform Carol we have a new hard limit in our relationship (she's already been sternly commanded to never try a spinal tap on me and never, ever, under ANY circumstances, attempt to lick my eyeballs.

~FAST REPLY~

I know that these types of punishments work for a lot of people but for me personally, such a thing would make me feel as though I were being treated as a child, which not my thing at all.

had llines once and hated it but i hate writing. he also has threatened an 10.000 word essay on asking for things. lucily he didnt order it.

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: Writing Lines as Punishment (4/16/2011 6:57:21 AM)

Yes I have given out a writing punishment, but not lines, I agree that it is childish and doesn't seem to have much point.

*MY* punishments, rare as they are, always have a point.

An example: My current sub completely broke protocol in a public setting. This was not a training issue, we have been together for years and he is quite beautifully trained. He made some comments that were clearly meant to test my authority in a public setting.  Although I will allow some brattish behavior from this much loved boy, there is a time and place and this wasn't it. I made him write an essay on why he purposely chose to test my authority so inappropriately. (He is a masochist and thought he'd get a bad beating, which he would love. He knows so much better now.)

The writing assignment was very difficult for him, and I did not spare him in the least, it took several revisions before I was satisfied. I thought it was a highly appropriate punishment, as he had to THINK and REFLECT upon his actions, and then relate that information to me in an acceptable format. It was great fodder for endless conversations about our dynamic for weeks afterward.

Yes. my MASTERS would use this occassionally as a teaching tool. Although, i did not cook, i was given tasks in the kitchen and once did not wash the lettuce properly. i had to write 1000 times i will wash and thoroughly drain the lettuce before placing in the refrigrator. THEY tended to hav me do this before i moved into THEIR household and i would have to turn in my assignment the next time i was at THEIR home

i do not remember doing this after i moved in as i guess i was too busy doing chores and other things

NuevaVida -> RE: Writing Lines as Punishment (4/16/2011 7:34:09 AM)

Years ago with the ex owner I had to write something like 1500 lines, in perfect handwriting, of the same sentence.  It was monotonous and gave me wrist cramping.  To this day I can't remember what those lines were.  So, I can't say they were very effective.

Once I had to write an essay on realism vs. idealism.  Five typed pages later, I turned in what I thought was a fascinating piece of work, which proved his theories wrong.  I loved that essay.  I still have it.

I used to love to write.  But he gave me so many writing assignments (not for punishment) he tapped me out, and I began to dread writing.  It's been years and I still haven't rediscovered a desire to write.  Back then it was something like 2 essays and 2 stories a week.  Because I worked full time and went to school, I'd be up all night writing.  It killed my passion for it.

That sounds like way to much. Although I am sure he enjoyed reading them, he probably had no idea (or didn't care) how long it took you to write them.
