ORIGINAL: slaveluci BTW....I don't see a conflict between liking fine wines/dining and also liking "junk" food. It is possible to love fresh, interesting fine cuisine but have a taste for unhealthier stuff as well. It doesn't have to be either/or and I love the variety. It's all about the situation (who I'm with/what they have available, etc).............luci I don't, either. I can enjoy a 5 star restaurant one day, and have no problem picking up Round Table or Taco Bell the next. Mind you, the latter is a very limited option as I'm trying to stay healthy, but I do have a place in my heart for complete junk food. Because I so rarely have it, I consider junk food to be a nice "treat" now and again. I was just telling the Mister about this thread over breakfast this morning. I said if he hated my cooking, I couldn't see how either of us could be happy, long term, and he agreed. We both agreed we'll no doubt have an occasional "omg this is bad" meal, but if he hated my cooking that would be a completely different story. It would be a major incompatibility issue for both of us, because food is so important to both of us. On the other hand, because food is so important to both of us, that was a major note of compatibility between us, which we both noticed right away. Sometimes I can spend all day in the kitchen, other days I'm tired and need to do something simple but tasty and healthy. Today, at his instruction, is one of those days.
