Would you be referring to All Hallow's Day? My mother was born on November first, so I came up with that.

I believe your are correct. In school, I was taught it was the eve of All Saint's Day ... thus Hallowed Eve became Halloween.

I remember a movie called The Thing about 1960-1962, but the movie sites are showing that title to be for a totally different story than the movie that I am recalling. In the movie that I am thinking of, a human spine is removed and takes a life of it's own ... revenge on those who are responsible. Half the movie goers could not sit thru the whole thing. If that is not success for a horror movie, I don't know what is.

SPBM, you have at some point presented a very good idea that was used by someone else, professionally, for which the did not give you credit for, rpesenting it (for the most part) as their own.

Yes, when I started at one company, I was the one who mentioned an idea for an improvement to one of their computer systems. No one listened for years. Then I started working for a new boss who jumped on the idea enthusiastically. It was implemented, I never got credit, but it made the lives of the accountants at that company much easier. They wondered why it had not been done years ago.

No, I didn't mean as a human being (I am not being challenging, just offering clarification). I meant "chemistry" and "HAWWWWTNESS" where even though no Play would occur, spanky-wankies would occur, no sex would occur, you still enjoyed an effect from this person's presence similar to an excellent, healthy, non drug derived opiate-hit. Due yo "just the way that person was".

my fave way to eat shrimp is not to. LEAST favourite seafood, after eels. But if demanded, wok-fried in spicy sauce.

I actually did that within the last sixteen days. The boots that I'm wearing in the avatar to the left always catch somebody's eye. Second only to the purse that I carry. It's the bottom portion of a stiletto boot with chains for straps. People go nuts over it.

(Since I got clarification, I'm sure I have, but even in saying that, it's been a good number of years ago.)
