I had a student complain about George Will, calling him a "liberal" columnist because she didn't like his view.

Today, if you think you're right, all dumb ideas are leftist. And vice versa.

This is what we've come to. I hope we get over it soon.

That's certainly true with regard to this issue, but his views may fall in quite a different part of the political spectrum on any number of other issues.
