My guess is you got to cover a class or two at adjunct pay. This crap would never get you hired. He may have subbed at a community college for a remedial English class, at below instructor pay[;)] (and I am being generous even with that) It reminds me of a history professor I had when I was going to community college that insisted people call him "professor" even though he had just received his MA degree Actually, he may have been right. "Professor" is a rank. It's usually written with a modifier, but spoken simply as one word. If he was an assistant professor or higher, calling me "professor" would be justified. "Doctor" on the other hand is a degree. I'm still "Doctor Warren" although I ceased to be "Professor Warren" with my resignation. Of course, "saying" you are a professor isn't proof and I'm sure "ArizonaBossMan" doesn't show up on any faculty roster or list of dissertations (I did a quick check and found mine [grin}) After all, how many bisexual, five foot tall, 98 pound, D-cups, with long blond hair are really on line.
