Chick, my dear,
I was reading some poetry earlier, and stumbled across this one, and it spoke to me. I remembered your thread, and it seemed apropos. I hope you don't mind if I post it. It is by a Mongolian poet. I couldn't stop thinking about the great vasts of land and sky that are there, and wonder about the visuals that are so prevalent in the words.

Dream
I want to live naïve forever, always full of light.
I want to fall into deep snow, casually playing
Until frost bites my fingertips, lays on my lashes,
unknowingly wakes up pregnant flowers,
waiting for spring, beneath the snow.
Not realizing that snow would melt the following day,
Unaware that times never come back, I made a snowman
To immortalize my granddad who wouldn’t come.
I want to chirp meaninglessly, asking the snowman to tell a story.
I want to be always like the blue crocus in spring,
I want to be a foolish hatchling, curious and fallen from the nest,
I want to believe in fairytales, meet knights and princesses in my dreams.
I want to soothe crying flowers, wipe my hands on morning dew tears
Unaware that he would grow up to be a cynical, promiscuous man,
Dirtied by his future destiny, keeping anger in his looks,
I want to run in the wind, holding the young boy’s soft hand,
Thinking it would last forever.
Not predicting the future,
Not planning to become a poet, a beggar of the truth,
I simply want to wander through the poem, which I now beg to come to me.
I want to die still transparent, still believing in fairytales and forever innocent.
