Nope. Not at all. I am pro sex worker. I also wasn't shaming Hannah, I just disagree vehemently with her skewered perception of men from being a sex worker. I don't know, I am rambling, this is all over the place, but my point is, I know way more good men that bad, and I know a lot of women that would make Mussolini seem like a pussycat. And?

Oh and most sources I find state about 16% of men have paid for sex. Hardly a majority.

The guys in the strip club and the johns cruising for a little fuck and suck in the back seat ARE everyday guys, they aren't low lifes, they ARE your fathers, husbands, sons, and brothers. Out of every 100 men, 70 have probably hired a prostitute at one time or another.

Everybody, count the men in your extended family and do the math. The fact of the matter is that most of the men you know have used a prostitute, and many of them do so regularly. Do what I've done, talk to a prostitute or an ex-prostitute, we have two right here on this thread, and they will tell you that most of their clients are assholes of the highest degree. Take it from there...most of the guys you know use hookers, and most of them mistreat those hookers.

You may not want to believe it of the men in your life, but its true none the less.

Definitely the majority of the guys I served in the military with had paid for sex at least once. I realize this is an atypical sample (as is noted below).

Your link had some interestingly observations about cultural attitudes in other countries. Here's the US:

Lol..Where did you get these numbers. 70% of all men have used a prostitute? I love thse studies which don't have a fucking chance in hell at getting actual figures..how could they? They are guessing by large leaps and bounds and people eat the stats up like they're addicts or something.

I asked 3000 men and A: They told me the truth cause I'm a trustworthy scientist..B: Out of the 3000 I can now deduce that my numbers of 70% are right on for a whole freaking population of men and so on and so on..I'm being generous here cause It's most likely not even close to the number of people asked.

If this were true, based on your figure, you'd see a steady stream of people and I MEAN STEADY STREAM headed over to bertha's underground brothel.

No matter what the statistics show or don't show, the reality is that nobody really ever knows anyone else. I love the biographies that people write about their parents or their children, like they really know everything about that person. No way in Hell do I know everything about my kids or about my parents or even about my sister. I don't know if my sister was a virgin when she got married or if she's ever had an affair. For all I know, she could have been supplementing her family income turning tricks in the 'burbs.

The only person I know for sure about is myself, & I don't trust all of my memories about my own life. Because sometimes shit is just too fuckin hard to deal with or even look at so our brains take pity on us & whitewash stuff or wipe it out entirely. So even if I told you that I never did something, you shouldn't necessarily believe me because maybe I did & I've just blocked it. And if your friends tell you they've never done something, maybe they have & they don't want to tell you because maybe they're afraid that you might look at them differently.

I'll say one thing: there is no difference in my mind between trading pussy for cash & trading it for cars & jewelry. I've done both. It's the same fuckin thing, believe me.

I personally dont see any difference of any real consequence between a guy that pays and a guy that cheats with someone he doesnt pay. They both are cheaters!
They lie to their wives, family and friends!
Worse than that, they are putting their wives health & life at risk when they cheat!
Especially the guys that want a regular affair so they can go bareback (cuz they cant keep it hard in a condom) or a guy that pays a sex worker more $ to go bare.

According to Aynne's link, the figure for the UK is between 7 and 8.8% of men having used a prostitute at least once. Jeez - there's quite a jump between that and the 70% of the Kinsey report. Aynne's figure chimes a lot better with my experience, I have to say.

But Arpig - are you citing the Kinsey figure of 1948, as mentioned here?

Based upon the behaviour of many of the women I see in the bars on the odd occasion I go........maybe there is less of a need for prostitutes now. They tend to dress like prostitutes. It seems like the guys can usually get it for free.

I know that the bar in the town to the west of me has a bartender, married to the town drunk, that is well known for accomodating anyone that is interested. She is not a rarity.
