ORIGINAL: LillyBoPeep no worries, i get that, too. i grew up outside a small town where everyone knew my relatives and thought that meant they knew me. a guy made up a rumor about my grandpa dying because they were business competitors. if people saw you doing something they thought you shouldn't, they'd tell everyone they knew. =p but i have found that it's not really any different in the city. the difference in the country is that your neighbor has to stare over a mile to see into your window, while in the city, they can glance into your bedroom from their dinner table. =p i guess that's what i don't like; the proximity. people are people, and people are everywhere. there will be silliness and snoopery and other types of gooniness, but at least, in the country, your yard is pretty much your yard. =p haha lol thats funny cuz when i lived on the farm i always felt naked and exposed if there were no drapes on the windows. Not logical that anyone could look in since the road was quite a distance but i still felt that way. I like a decent sized yard (& tall fences lol) but have never felt the proximity in the city was a real problem, its more that most people in the city dont know who you know and dont really care much what you do, so I guess for me, its more of a different attitude than in a small town where everyone knows who you are and have nothing better to do with their time but gossip. I did like the space living on the farm but that was about it, you had to drive a long way for decent shopping!
