Again.......based upon what I've heard.......there simply was not enough concrete evidence.

When you remove the emotional factors of this particular case, it really is a good thing.

I did not sit in that box,nor heard all of the evidence...yet something about this defys the law of common sense.Her lawyers in their opening statement promised this jury a boatload of shit.....failed to deliver on any of it....and she is acquitted of murder.This is mind boggling ...and the talking heads on tv are now eating a healthy portion of crow.

Now I understand the not guilty verdicts on the murder charges... But the aggravated child abuse... I simply don't understand ... the kid was duct taped and there was supposedly evidence that chloroform had been introduced to the body chemistry i think,,, though not sure it was proven it wasn't post mortem (assuming that would be a defense refuting autopsy findings)... Man ... I am changing to that Nancy Grace chick so I can watch her either come un-fucking-glued or back paddle in a big way after the OJ trial-like showcase/witch hunt she put on.

Good point ... can't remember how long she was in custody, but it was quite a while I think  ... like close to two years ... they're saying the sentence could be four... so that would be just about right.

Personally, I think this thing has shaken baby or criminal neglect written all over it... but it doesn't sound like what the prosecution built their case on.

There just wasn't enough evidence. We live in a CSI world and people want to hear, see, read concrete evidence before they convict. I think she did it, but I would have voted not guilty based on the evidence I read about. Not the Nancy Grace or Enquirer crap that is meant to incite, but real evidence.

Exactly and if it was our loved one up on trial we would hope that the same procedure would be followed.

I see cases like this and think of alllllllllllllll the people over the years that have been wrongly convicted and incarcerated. Only to have one or two good samaritans fight for them and prove they were innocent........years later........after their lives, and often the lives of loved ones, were ruined.

I agree. I do think the woman killed her. I think she did it because she was pissed at her own mom who was trying to act the part of Caylee's parent. But, after watching the courtroom and evidence presented I didn't feel there was enough to show that she did it. Plenty of evidence to show she is vile, but not that she killed the kid. I wonder how she is going to get along with her family now?

Im not sure she did it. I am sure she knew what happened and was there when it happened. Without a smoking gun, there was little evidence to "prove" she killed her daughter.

I have no idea whether she did it or not but the case against her was pathetic and I'm relieved a jury did the right thing and found her not guilty.

Just because Nancy Grace screeches that someone is guilty does not make it so. Before we lock someone up for the rest of their life and potentially execute them there needs to be some concrete evidence linking the person to the a crime. In this case there was nothing but innuendo and the prosecutors dislike for the mother coupled with Grace's theatrics on TV every night.

I hope Ms. Anthony sues Grace and CNN for defamation.

Good job by both prosecution and defense. I just dont think there was enough to convict, though Im a little surprised they didnt decide on manslaughter because "someone has to be punished for a little girl's death". I personally think it was an accident of some kind, probably in the act of putting her to sleep with chloroform or something else, but it was far from proven.

Needless to say she will get a whopping book advance and at least a made for TV movie, and her "Bella Vita" tattoo is a better prediction that Nostradamus'.
