I'd love to know how a jury in Redwood, Ca came to a guilty verdict with a very, very similar case. Including a single strand of hair being the only forensic evidence. No cause of death, just speculation. No murder weapon, 2 completely decompossed bodies, no wittnesses. One had an affair, one partied. One had trash in the trunk, one had some rope and shovel in the trunk One ran off care free and partied for 31 days and one dyed his hair, had his brothers wallet/ID and some cash and was cruising down the highway. Given the evidence, there is no " hard evidence " that Scott Peterson killed Lacy either. We live in a country that thinks real life is CSI and TV world is reality. Does anyone think Scott Petersons conviction is a travesty of justice ? And I propose that we as a society still have trouble convicting young pretty white girls of capitol crimes, hell we even have trouble convicting ugly white girls. My own opinion is she was overcharged, the prosecution was too determnined to get Murder 1. edit :

Yes it was a stupid comparison, but amazingly enough, I understood what he was saying. And saying that someone might come along and kill her is not advocating it.

I'm actually amazed that someone felt compelled to dissect the forensic details of Oswald vs. Anthony with such gusto to actually find a single thread of self-defense to pull on. How one guy shooting another guy, which leads to a vigilante shooting of the shooter becomes an insufficient parallel example to the one person who "hears things not being said", well, you got me. Why these precision details are even relevant to the gist of the comparison, I dunno. Maybe it somehow, somewhere proves "I was wrong", which apparently is the mental victory being sought all along. Trying to figure out what makes some of these bathrobe wearin', chain-smokin' forum queens the way they are is just too fucking exhausting.
