A Dom acquaintance of mine says that he has seen Madonna playing at the Hell Fire Club in NY and that she can swing a mean whip.

I believe President Hoover was a cross-dresser. Also, Ricky Martin made comments about watersports to the press (giving).

Fire,
You may be thinking of J. Edgar Hoover, head of the FBI from the late 30's until the Nixon years. President Hoover was just depression influenced depressed.

Crowley was not into Bondage of any sort. It was his saying that "the only sin is that of restriction". He also argued that bondage, spanking etc was not appropriate for ritual..  The secret of the O.T.O is basicly "fucking make a wish" figure that out.. its not that hard..

He was into having sex indiscrimatly with whomever and whatever (goat in Greece) he could but as for a Bondage affectionado..nope.. Ritual Sex yes.. Vibrate god names before and during sex.. keep from cumming for hours and then release at the moment the ritual makes perfection.. this is magick.. fucking make a wish..

While I most certianly like him for that, I'm not sure that classifies him as a BDSMer. LOL But, I do have to wonder how many other high profile people have these little secrets?

So, people, I'm curious...Are most of these speculations or have these people actually come out??

Something tells me she'd just being "fashionable". Fetish is very in these days with the popular music crowd, mostly the clothing. I don't really buy that she's into the lifestyle...But, I'd be willing to eat my words if anyone has some proof of her actually coming out.

Glen Danzig is very obviously Dom - he's a metal singer, does two really great BDSM-themed songs, "Sadistkal" and "Little Whip", among others.

Time magazine, in a story about the movie "V" mentioned that the older Wachowski brother was the crossdresser living with a dominatrix in L.A.

A book about the former, longtime FBI director, J.Edgar Hoover, which was much disputed by people who knew and defended Hoover, said he was a crossdresser. I think a previous poster misidentified that Hoover as President Herbert Hoover.

T.E. Lawrence a/k/a "Lawrence of Arabia" used to lie about all sorts of things about hismelf, maybe including the reason he liked to be sodomized (and I think otherwise abused). He said he was raped by a high Ottoman official. I'd say he was a bottom -- I haven't heard anything about him being a submissive, though.

C.S. Lewis, the Christian writer, seems to have been a submissive to the mother of a friend of his. I think the friend died. He used to do all sorts of menial tasks and chores for the woman. The descriptions of the relationship given by his biographers really make it appear like  D/s. He was pretty thoroughly dominant in the rest of his life. I think all this happened before he became a Christian (he was previously an atheist), but I'm not sure.

Patty Davis, Ronald Reagan's youngest daughter, wrote a novel involving S&M, and I think I heard something about her having an interest in it. I can't believe she's anything but a dominant if she's into it.

Jack Ryan, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Illinois, was accused by his wife, Jerri Ryan, an actress on the TV show "Boston Legal" of pressuring her to have sex with him in S&M clubs.

I have it on good authority that Madonna was at The Vault. Because they wouldn't print it if it wasn't so:
