ORIGINAL: zephyroftheNorth Okay for those of you who have read the Ender books, what is the actual order? The guy who helped me gave me Ender's Game and Speaker For the Dead, which is fine but then there is Ender's Shadow which is apparently parallel to Ender's Game. Now I'm confused, which should I read first, Speaker For the Dead or Ender's Shadow? Zeph Think of ender's game and ender's shadow as the same story but not exactly the same. The shadow series mostly takes place in ender's absence. While the main series follows him. Enders's game, speaker for the dead, xenocide and then children of the mind. Those are the books of the main series. The shadow series start with Ender's shadow, shadow of the hegemon, shadow puppets and then shadow of the giant. As long as you read the series in order it doesn't matter whether you start with ender's game or ender's shadow. Just read them in order. Both stories together give you the whole picture. Your brain won't be the same afterward.
