Perhaps not, but Beck's comment about training camps for political indoctrination (not actually what happens at these things, but then this is Beck we're discussing) sounds disturbing and "a little" like Ander Behring Breivik's explanation of why the kids there needed shooting in the first place.

Status: offline 		Personally, I like Beck - Not because I agree with him but rather because he makes people act and think. he makes them mad enough or scared enough to get off there butts and do something even if it is just post to a forum.

As for the reference to Nazi youth, well my understanding is that they where all about training future generations to lead under a certain idealogical model - much like the Boy Scouts and the traditional Christian Churches! Some of you are probably thinking how anyone could compare the Boy Scouts and Christain Churches to Nazi youth? My answer to that is it all depends on your perspective! I'm bi-sexual and grew up in the Boy Scouts and the Christian Churches were as a kid I faced a lot of rejection, hate, and fear simply because of my sexuality. I also grew up in the center for the Arian Nations - north Idaho.

Honestly - I could not tell the difference between the hate and rejection I felt from the Boy Scouts, traditional Christian Churches, and the Arian Nations. Yet most people would never classify the Boy Scouts and Christian Churches in the same group with the Arian Nations. Like I said it all depends on perspective.

As full disclosure there is one subject that I do agree with Beck on - that we are and most likely will always be at war with Islam. I don't base that on what Beck says - I base it on having read and listened to the Quran and knowing the doctorines of the two largest groups of the Islamic faith - the Sunni and Shiites. Based on the Quran, you have three options - convert to Islam, become a slave to Islam, or be killed.

All the talk about peace with Islam like most of the liberals people I normally hang out with believe is B! S! The Jewish people know this and they know that there will never be peace in the middle east; because, the notion of freedom for others is not part of the main branches of the Islamic faiths. It is the same within the Christian Churches but most major Christain Churches no longer follow their faith as outlined in their Holy Bible but rather follow their intellect and a mixture of Christianity, science, and other faiths so they are not so powerful or dangerous. Islam is a purer faith (Less diluted by factions and other beliefs.) and very powerful. They have been at war with everyone else for hundreds of years and it will continue until they are dead or converted.

I know what my fate would be under Islamic law and there is an old saying - The Enemy Of Me Enemy Is My Friend! Beck provokes people and is entertaining. I disagree with him on a lot of issues but he is the lesser of two evils but then so are the Boy Scouts and the traditional Christian Churches. He is a power player in politics but there are enough liberals to counter him and honestly we need people like him or the liberals would destroy the country as we know it. (Just like Beck would destroy it if not held in check by the liberals.)

Our society is based on balances of (white male) power or it used to be when we were a Republic. Now as we are becoming a Plutocracy that is changing. Yet for now I will say - Go Beck Go!!!

Status: offline 		Why in the hell must people politicize a tragedy like this? The man is insane and his political ideals have no base for comparison with any political thinking in America.

His thinking was not inspired by the Republican party or the Christian religion. He was inspired by a tortured insane mind warping his reality and lashing out with hate.

It is despicable for the media of any kind or members here at CM to insinuate that his actions are the result of or agreed with the political thinking of conservatives in America.

It is also beyond good taste and an insult to the families of the innocents murdered to even vaguely insinuate the children were acting or being manipulated in a disturbing manner and this somehow contributed to their deaths.

Never said it was.

It seems to me that you are claiming that it wasn't politically related. I'm willing to accept that, if you have some sort of reasonable proof.

I've seen reports that they had political activities and speech.

Where is the dividing line where it becomes a "political" activity?  And is it divided up by time spent, number of activities, or what?
