I don't think Brian from "Family Guy" would be so worried about this subject as you are..You might have the wrong avatar up.......I think the fact that we had to log in first to change the password as they requested and which a lot of people have mentioned, made it a stress-free action to accomplish.

I'm having all the same issues as well. When I try to log into the personals page it doesnt seem to recognize my username or password. I had the password sent to my private email and I know I have it right. If I try to click on "support" I get redirected to a log in page or a create a new account page so I'm not able to send an email to "support" for help!

@ModTwentyOne Please help if you can. I use Mozilla Firefox for my browser. I'll try IE after I post this to see if I can get in that way.

otk1959 -> RE: password update?? (8/7/2011 4:31:34 AM)

Tried using IE and had no problems at all. My account is there. I was able to send a message.  If anyone has any thoughts on why "Firefox " isn't working please share.

Termyn8or -> RE: password update?? (8/7/2011 9:45:02 AM)

I dunnoo bout that. A couple years ago or so I got on running MEPIS Linux off CD viw Mozilla whatever, and it worked. I would run it now but it's too old to find most of the hardware.

I'm using firefox...no problems at all.

Maybe check your settings in firefox. There might be something you have clicked that is blocking your password?

Try cleaning out your cache & temp files,  dumping your cookies, then rebooting.

Termyn8or -> RE: password update?? (8/8/2011 12:32:14 AM)

Bullshit, that's what AOL tells you to do.

Don't EVER try to clear the cache. And if you know shit, you know you can NEVER clear the cahe. I can prove it. Try me. And getting rid of your cookies ? Why the fuck bother ? You wanna type in your password again everywhere, go right ahead.

MFs, I have IMPORTED internet caches when I reloaded OSes. That's because I know what the fuck they are there for and what they are supposed to do.

Come on people, with the new shit, come and tell me how fucked up I am and how my shit is junk. Tell me all about it.

I do believe FL is really looking better each passing day. CM can't fix that problem and don't seem to care they have caused a problem.

You're only retyping once, the next time you log in everywhere, and then your cookie for that site is back.  I hate deleting cookies, personally, but sometimes that's all it takes to clear up the issue.

I am sure it is, but unfortunately the avatars are a lot more graphic and it has much more of a meat market feel to it. The emails on CM can be pretty bad, but compared to Fet - golden

Yes I do, I never save my passwords to any computer. Only a real fool would do that. What if somebody steals it, then they have access to your accounts.

What if somebody steals you? Then they have access to your accounts, and your body, and so forth.

Only a real fool would let his computer save his password..... or somebody whose computer wasn't going to be stolen. Come try and steal my computer so you can read my CM inbox..... I dare ya ;)

SuzeCheri -> RE: password update?? (8/8/2011 11:01:56 PM)

I have a laptop that goes to and from school with me. It's very stealable. And if you have a desktop, and you let somebody use it to check their email, well if you have everything set to sign you in automatically, then they have access.

Sorry, but I think that it's worth it to hit a few keys to maintain security.

I agree, it's really just basic common sense.
