Hi LP, Oh I agree with you. Where I ponder the similarities is when we know something is being manufactured in slave-like and unethical conditions, and continue to purchase from those producers. Like the johns & hookers. We condemn the johns while ringing up our latest purchase (and as you say, other people make shoes). The thing is, we all do it, don't we? I know I do, when I buy make up from companies that engage in cruel vivisection. Whenever I buy clothes "Made in Indonesia", I do so understanding they may have been made in sweat-shops. I buy them without doing my homework first. Human nature is interesting/curious to me. It's OK to condemn one segment of people while engaging in what could be similar behaviors ourselves. Perhaps when it directly affects us or someone we know, it's too close to home, so we do or say something about it. Don't mind me, I'm just pondering here and thinking about my own shopping integrity, so to speak. ETA: Didn't mean to get into a derail, btw. The topic of integrity and then purchasing "product" without integrity got me philosophizing a bit.

To everyone on this thread- i'm really sorry. i'm going to take a break form posting for a while, because i've noticed that i've been consistently misunderstanding posts, and making unwarranted attacks on people. i don't know what my problem is. i'm going to disappear for a while until i can get my head out of my ass. i am an idiot.
