It took Obama to expose the Democratic party to be just as hateful, close minded, and mean spirited as the GOP. Nothing makes Obama's wars, or his decision to retain the "Decider's" Wall Street cronies, or his expansion of warrantless surveillance particularly different except the DNC labels. With a Republican President there was a myth that the left could be counted on to oppose fascism. Now Democratic loyalists label those who disagree with their President as "tea partiers" or "racists" and apparently dream of "slaughtering" them. The USA has fallen so incredibly far under Obama that I will hold my nose and vote GOP in 2012.

Sadly the Obama Administrations attacks on Civil Liberties are non fiction and occur on a daily basis. Obama's authoritarian bent is wide ranging. He has acted to expand Executive power and curtail Civil Liberties in many ways: From Obama's two Patriot Act renewals, his lies about Guantamo, his flip flopping hypocrisy on the President's kinetic action/war power (Iraq was bad when Obama was a Jr Senator/Libya, however, is somehow good), Obama pushed for expanded warrantless wiretaps, TSA intrusions have increased, Obamacare is designed to allow more IRS intrusions/penalties. There are many more but just listing those few should be enough to lead to personal insults and accusations of "tea party racism". The Democrats can no longer credibly present themselves as bastions against Authoritarianism to anyone who hasn't been drinking Obama's Kool Aid. The DNC is just as much a force for Authoritarianism as the GOP; the big difference is that Obama's followers are currently in denial.
