Having a towel or bit of clothing under a naked arse when seated in public seems like a sensible policy to me just on the bases of health and hygiene reasons. Thoughts, opinions?

San Francisco --

San Francisco will once again be the butt of national ridicule - or a beacon of freedom of expression - depending on your point of view. The latest issue? Public nudity.

Supervisor Scott Wiener introduced legislation Tuesday that would require nudists to put something under their bottoms if they take a seat in public and to cover up when they're in a restaurant.

thank fucking God. Not everyone should be nude and certainly not when I am trying to eat. Can you imagine wilbur naked while trying to eat raw oysters?

That would be almost as bad as you, clothed or naked, while trying to do...well anything.

Not only do I agree, but the nudist places we have been to agree. While at those places everyone who is nude carries a towel. Before you sit anywhere you cover the seat with the towel. We have dutifully sat on a towel at the restaurant, bar, and outside around the pool.

I so TOTALLY agree!! I have often thought I would never sit on a seat that someone's naked ass has sat on. When I used to watch these TV talk shows with mostly naked guests on them(I hate to admit I used to watch them), I often wondered if they ever cleaned off the seats of the chairs after those naked asses sat on them without personal towels underneath them. UGH!!! [:'(]

When I lived in Holland I used to go to the nude beach where they had this nice cafe on the beach named Adam & Eva. I remember the first time the owner came up to me and in a very friendly way asked if I could put my towel under me as I sat at one of his outdoor tables. It was like this moment of "realization". And it made total sense. In truth, anything we who pursue alternative lifestyles can do to make it more pleasant/safer for our compatriots is a fine idea.

If you think about it, people today in health clubs who use exercise equipment religiously wipe down the exercise bicycle seats etc. Often the workout facilities provide the sanitizer and the wipes also. And these people are dressed! If this is making news at all it is simply because people are in virgin territory and have yet to have that moment of "realization".

I once had a conversation with a Dom that said I was expected to wear a dress with no panties and then sit with my naked pussy against the seat of the booth in the restaurant. I told him that wasn't sanitary. He told me I wasn't submissive.

this is very good; a place i like to hang out in the summer is clothing-optional, and a few of them do just flop down anywhere without anything under them. that's not very polite. most of them, however, are pretty "seasoned" at wandering around naked, and they always have something to sit on when they come to your camp.
i think this is more often the case with people who don't have experience with it. =p they forget they're not wearing pants, or it just doesn't dawn on them to do it.

OsideGirl -- that's funny =p you wouldn't believe how many dudes say that.

Yeah, you usually don't have to think before sitting down and it isn't common practice to put things on a seat before sitting, at least not for most. So if you aren't used to being naked it would stand to reason it might not dawn on you right away to put something down first before sitting. I don't think people who don't do it have any malice in mind at the same time... yeah please cover the seat before you sit on it with your nude bottome, thank you [:)]

Ninebelowzero -> RE: "Dear nudists: Please cover up, the seat at least" (12/3/2011 12:55:42 AM)

How does a nudist cover up the fact that he/she has sharted?

MadAxeman -> RE: "Dear nudists: Please cover up, the seat at least" (12/3/2011 12:09:41 PM)

9, some of our American friends may not be familiar with the term.
A 'shart' is a fart with disastrous follow through consequences.

If you have to carry a towel everywhere, you might as well wear it.
When you are introduced to someone on the nudist beach, you can then lift the towel and show your genitals as a sign of good manners.

Ninebelowzero -> RE: "Dear nudists: Please cover up, the seat at least" (12/3/2011 12:24:37 PM)

Respect My Axeman.

A mate of mine known as knacker sharted on Venice Beach in a pair of shorts that were white & almost see through when wet. He tried to get the skid mark out in the sea failed & then went to the mens lavatory.

Got arrested for being naked whilst washing his shorts out.

LafayetteLady -> RE: "Dear nudists: Please cover up, the seat at least" (12/3/2011 6:10:05 PM)

NBZ,

You have mentioned sharting quite a bit lately. Is there something you are trying to tel us?

Ninebelowzero -> RE: "Dear nudists: Please cover up, the seat at least" (12/3/2011 6:23:04 PM)
