As they say here in the islands, there's been too much "humbug" going 'round these threads. People need to lighten up! Too much snark, too much bitchiness...come on, you know it's true! :P

So for anyone so inclined, please post a good thing that happened to you today.

For me, aside from being Friday... :D ... I got a primo parking spot outside the vegetarian grocery store I shop at. Yay! :)

Okay, so I'm sure there's better stuff than that out there...what good thing happened to you within the last 24 hours?

i got a gold star on my driver's license

LOL

i swear i did....in florida....and the gold star signifies that i am "document compliant"...which in turn means i never again have to show all that freaking paperwork that they wanted to see from the beginning of my life to the present.

Of course, i had to pay a late fee because it took me forever to gather together all the necessary documents.

Document compliant?? WTF? What sort of paper work did you have to show prior to the gold star? I'm just naturally nose...er...inquisitive. :D This country has gotten too document happy, if ya ask me. ;)

I am actually very proud of myself for being able to do that based on what life has been like around here lately... anyone got a large rock I can hide under

but really I am proud of myself because if the same things that have been going on the last few months had gone on a few years ago I'd be in a padded room some place... I have grown up!!

At pt today they did a culture and told me they think the infection is going away. The hole in my leg is slightly smaller. I hopped all the way around the car without falling down...go me. *oh* and the pet got me little hot chicken wings which I'm not going to eat until later but I'm sure they are good.

I got to spend the majority of my day with my daughter's grade 3 class .... and I enjoyed ever minute of it! Little people can be so much fun!

Ok, it wasn't today, but 2 days ago. The friends I live with, we don't have cable internet, and instead have been sharing an air card, and the service was lousy, in fact in came up as "dial up." So very limited internet. We got MiFi so multiple computers could connect at the same time and the service is sooo much better. I can actually watch videos on my computer now! And next week, cable internet is being installed. WOO HOO!

Very true, I've adopted a policy of throwing in the occasional comment here and there but the Internet war is over as far as I'm concerned.

Had a late night so not much happened today yet but "stop the presses" - I did have two very nice croissants for breakfast...

For those who are inquisitive....*looks over at DD*

i had to supply original birth certificate, Social Security card, any record of name changes (which means i had to hunt for my first marriage license so i could prove who i was on my second marriage license) and two proofs of residency.

However, i did find out that you are allowed to renew by mail and then you don't have to show the documents...but you can only do that once. WTF???
