Here in Myrtle Beach, S.C. I pay $380 per year real estate tax for a 1,300 sq ft 3 bed, 2 bath condo on a golf course. The sales tax is 5% I think.
If you buy a brand new car or truck the maximum sales tax they can charge you is $300! All the car dealers here got together and got the old law changed.
New Cadillac, $300. New Ford F-150 Lariat? $300!
I think there's some type of income tax in this state but it doesn't affect me.
Your money goes a lot further here than it does up north!
