Hello everyone. I think most of my details are on my profile. I normally hate pictures of myself and so I haven't found one or taken one that I like enough to upload. I've been on CM for a while but I haven't really been all that active in looking for Domme until now. From what I've read of the profiles on here so far it seems that many share in my frustrations of finding mostly fakes, lairs, and scammers on CM. I suppose adding a picture to my profile would help. Maybe someone else has some tips or pointers to help aid in my search? No offense intended to the pro Dommes and Dominas but I prefer to meet some one non-pro and real time rather than some sort of Internet chat "pay-per-view" domination weirdness. LOL So if there be anyone in Ohio, especially in the Dayton area that is for real, I would like to email, talk, communicate in some fashion to see if we might both be interested in something real time.

There are so many people who use this site, you might find someone instantly or it could take a while. You are certainly doing the right thing though by putting yourself out there. I read your profile and you certainly come off as a "normal" guy looking to enrich his life and that will certainly help a lot. As I am sure you have read, many people looking want someone who has vanilla covered well and isn't just a me-me-me, kink-kink-kink bloke. I would recommend not giving up on Collarme, but also not limiting yourself to this site alone. I think many others would say the same. And get thee to a munch! I hear that is where all the action is! *wink* You might just meet in person that individual you are looking for that is exploring as you are, hit it off, and learn "the ropes" together.

Dayton Ohio has a very active BDSM community.  They have a munch every Friday, this week it's at Tumbleweed, info below.

Have you considered going to a professional photographer?

If you are looking for something deeper, and want to put your best face forward, invest in what you are showing. If it is that important to you, show that it is important and provide pictures that you can be proud of.

Don't bemoan your insecurities - face them and deal with them, proactively.

You are curious.

You are worrying about things that are outside of your control.

Be comfortable in your skin.

Pictures... You are worried about how you look to you. You'll readily admit that is nonsensical... Seriously, you know how you look and you're already fucking yourself. How others see you is outside of your control. Perhaps you want a certain looking woman to find you attractive... Chances are, if she is shallow you'll never be attractive enough. Conversely, if you are shallow, also, you'll never be attractive enough.

Edit - Vanilla - again, one day you'll look up and it will be gone. Let it come to you. You aren't the admin, so you can't change it. Curiosity is good. To much curiosity is not more good, it is all bad. You can need without being needy. We all need.

On rankings, From Main Collarchat page, look for topmost forum - Administrative Announcements. Then third thread down is what you want. Also, if The Marquis de Sade showed up at Collarme tomorrow, he would be ranked Vanilla, and I think most veterans know that, so no worries there.

When I read your reply, I knew you hadn't seen ElizabethAnne's post. Glad you did catch it later on. When I have been away from my screen for a spell, I try to remember to refresh the page, just so I make sure to catch the gems like that. Still, sometimes I forget. All the same as to Friday, sounds like a great opportunity and a nice invitation; hope you can make it there. But if not I am sure you can track down the next one.

Welcome to CM. You've already gotten great advice and an invite to a munch. Sweet. As for a picture, you don't even need one of your face, how about one of your pet or even a scenic one? Heck, take a camera to the munch and ask someone to take a pic for your profile. Or just try a self portrait:

Darn BurntKitty, I just finally saw clearly what was staring back at me - "Basement Cat." It is such an veritable extreme closeup, I couldn't focus. Kind of was freaking me out. I mean no offense to kitty, but I kept being afraid the "gorilla" was going to reach out and grab me.
