That's been hit more times than the ammo dump at Harper's Ferry.

I am not actually offended, but I do feel the need to mock the wilfully ignorant.

No offense to anyone or those who like those type of women just notice from profile to profile that there seems to be a large percentage of bbws. Very seldom is there a woman considered slender, thin, average or whatever. No I dont think I'm gods gift to women or whatever. Just kinda wonder if there's something psychological there. A lot of women here have those force/rape fantasies. In everyday life in general a woman around 200 pounds isn't going to draw much attention from anyone who would actually force someone. is that part of it? Is it more of a fantasy to submit because its unlikely it would ever happen in real life. Look at streakers in sports across the world. If its fairly attractive woman there's cheers and such. If they were overweight I'm sure many would say oh my cover them up. Again not attacking but just rather curious why this and other sites seem to be widely populated by those types of women

Speaking only for myself, I was drawn to this lifestyle when I was 16... and weighed 125.

twistedom -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/21/2011 11:20:37 AM)

I think there are plenty of people out there who would day way worse things than I have. Most of you are trying to insinuate that most of the world prefer bbw's. That's laughable. Again I never said ONLY thin girls. If the so called BBW's are happy they are big instead of thin then what is there to be offended about. If u message a woman and say your fat it's a insult tell a girl she's thin it's a compliment. Go figure

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/21/2011 11:24:17 AM)

Go figure, indeed!

And as an FYI, Miss Lockit is extremely petite, and I am not a BBW either. We just don't like shallow dumbasses with wrongheaded ideas.

Wow defensive group you guys are. I meant no offense to anyone. I was just curious that is all. Maybe I'm wrong. I can admit not some scholar of the subject. I'm sure there are plus size women on here that find what they are searching for. Most people are programmed by tv. If u were to ask 10 men who would the choose between Kim kardashian or Kathy bates if they had a choice. Well isn't rocket science to figure that one out. what woman say that is 5-6 125 or so wakes up and says oh I really wish I was 185 or more. And yes I a fully capable of editing search settings. I was referring to the site as a whole

Its been my experience that many men would chose either of those options if asked by their male friends. My brothers all dated the young, hot, sexy, skinny things... and married women who were a bit more padded.

The heart wants what it wants, dude. Why question it?

Again... you mix things up. I weighed ninety pounds most my life because of a thyroid problem that will turn the other direction after 20 years. I would be at some fancy party or dinner in New Port Beach or surrounding areas and people would come up and make comments about my weight. They were not compliments. I always wondered how they felt it was okay to do so.

Many people are uncomfortable with even normal weight... have you seen the statistics on anorexia? Some are made to feel uncomfortable because of slow folks like you. Why do I say you are slow? Because you continue to defend your ignorant comments, not see that your comments don't even make sense, are filled with personal opinion and not fact and keep pleading your cause or case.

Look young stud... you can think whatever you want and you can be any way you want... but... one day when age gains and the military releases your balls... you may find a bit of tire around the middle, those eye brows growing together and ear and nose hair unbelievable. What will really be sad is if you still feel as you do now... then. Mirror, mirror on the wall... what's the future of the young, proud and shallow?

No, actually I'm not. What I AM insinuating is that, in your ignorance, you are judgmental and ASSume that everyone will feel the same way you do.

Where do you see this? So far one person would pick Kathy Bates. Mostly people are correcting your misconceptions about rape, etc.

You seem to have a reading comprehension problem. No one is insinuating any such thing.

Agreed, it would be laughable if that was what we are saying (which we aren't).

I also know many thin women who would think commenting on her thinness is insulting. If a man said to me "you're fat" I would either tell him he is a master at stating the obvious or say something to the effect of "Wow, really? I never noticed before...when did THAT happen???"

So go figure, you outed yourself as an ignorant asshole. Yay you!

As soon as I read the title of this thread, I knew how it was going to go.  And once you mentioned rape, you essentially poured gasoline on a raging fire.  Hopefully, this thread can get back on track, despite your terrible faux pas of mentioning rape.

I know that some people aren't going to appreciate my response, but you don't strike me as a troll.  You asked a legitimate question, and so I'm going to give you an honest answer.

I've been involved with BDSM for almost 20 years.  I've been a member of local BDSM groups all over the US.  And there are a couple of observations that I've made during that time.  These are not the result of any type of rigorous statistical analysis.  They're simply my personal observations, so please don't bother attacking me for them.

In my experience, there does seem to be a higher percentage of BBW in the BDSM lifestyle than I observe in the general population. I don't have any theories for why that is.  I  don't particularly care.  But BBW do tend to outnumber slim women in the BDSM groups that I've been involved in.  And I'm not talking about a 51%/49% ratio.  It's typically been more like 70/30 or 80/20.

As I said, I have no theories as to why that is.  Nor do I present this as scientific data.  Nope, these are merely personal observations.

For what it's worth, I've made a few other observations over the years.

-I seldom see Blacks in any of the BDSM clubs that I've belonged to or visited.  And submissive black males are the hardest to find of all.

-There is an unusually high representation of current or former SCA members in most of the BDSM clubs that I've belonged to.  Once again, I don't have any theories for why this is.  But it's been pretty typical for conversations about renaissance fairs to come up at the local BDSM club.

I live in the US, and conversations like this are pretty difficult to have.  People have become highly politically correct.  So it's difficult to discuss observations that pertain to specific groups of people without being labeled as some type of racist, or of being prejudiced.  But hopefully, you will see that I shared my observations objectively and without judgment.  I've placed no weight or significance on them.  They're merely my observations.  Perhaps others have similar observations.  Or perhaps your observations differ greatly from mine.

Is it possible for us to have a civil, intelligent conversation on this topic?  So far, this thread leads me to believe that we can't.

HannahLynn -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/21/2011 11:41:11 AM)

just give the fuck up man. close your fucking profile, make a new one and start all the fuck over. nobody recovers from a fucking fat thread, it just can't be done.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/21/2011 11:43:57 AM)

Sigh.

See, now I want to bring one of my other accounts out to talk about all the fat slobby men in BDSM. Because HOOOOOboy are there a bunch of THOSE mofos!

anniezz338 -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/21/2011 11:44:27 AM)

It's a numbers game. I don't know about the rest of the world but America is 1/3 obese and 1/3 overweight. That's not much under 70%. Seems the kink world could be close to those same stats.

twistedom -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/21/2011 11:44:50 AM)

There are some women here that have ass comparable to hers. The rest of them is just as big though most of time

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/21/2011 11:45:09 AM)

COMMON SENSE OH NOOOOOOOOOES!!!!!!

littlewonder -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/21/2011 11:45:29 AM)

have to say my experiences seem to mirror Rochsub's.

twistedom -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/21/2011 11:50:31 AM)

Lol yeah I agree men ate just as bad. Women on here complain about the same thing

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/21/2011 11:50:37 AM)

Change your parameter to look at the men. Especially the dominant men. You'll see the same cross section of fat-to-thin that you see anywhere else. Americans are fat and unfit, by and large.

MistressSnow -> RE: Are overweight women drawn to this lifestyle? (10/21/2011 11:53:33 AM)

I do not post much on the forums, but I am compelled to make a comment.

Yes, I have noticed in my over 20+ years in BDSM (private, pro and public)- that there are more overweight people in the lifestyle, than say vanilla people at a church?

HOWEVER - this also applies to the males (sub and dom) and this crosses over to orientation (straight, bi, gay). Now this being said, I have often wondered why over weight folks are so attracted to the lifestyle. I started on my journey so many years ago- I was not overweight, but as the year creep by - pounds can add on, and maybe that is the issue? You are looking at BDSM as the extension of the stripper club? We (old guard - old timers) in BDSM esp the lifestyle tend to stay in this for life and age along with it- hence the poundage? Aside from the pro-dommes and the wankers, the genuine folks on here are older and established in their respective scenes. We may not be beautiful in your eyes but there are many fellow kinksters who find beauty in knowledge and experience.

This is just my 2 cents. I am not going to lower myself into the discussion of rape, and kathy bates (although I love her) and kimy booty. It is skewing in a weird direction.

Best o' luck - young buck......
