I found my owner/boyfriend here, although neither of us participate in the site a whole lot anymore. Our dynamic is quite low-key, but it's definitely there. So far I'm ecstatically happy and wanted to share :) I still log in to keep up correspondence with others (and ignore mails declaring me to be unowned or not a 'twue sub') and enjoy doing so. I'm also an attention whore so this feeds the beast inside me, to an extent.

This is the first time I've posted here since I joined about 7 or 8 months ago. I had warm fuzzy feelings from himself (as I like to call him) and decided to spread the good fuzzies around. I hope that's okay.

That's wonderful! How lovely that you posted about your happiness, that's always a welcome thing to read about. My own relationship tends to be a bit low-key...until it's not. Lol. So I understand what you're saying. As long as it suits the two of you that's all that's important. There's no formalities to fulfill or rules to go by. Have fun together!

Thanks lizi :) I wanted to spread the joy around a little bit. It hasn't always been perfect - still isn't, really - but it's going great at the moment. And thank you for understanding what I meant about low key!

Hi Mysteries,

Thank you for sharing. I enjoy hearing the warm and fuzzy stories. My relationship with my owner is low key outside the bedroom due to my career and son but my internal collar is always on strong and tight.

Thanks everyone :) I felt a bit...soppy, for want of a better word, posting it. But then I figured why not? It'd be nice to read something good instead of a problem. And judging by your thanks and niceties, I did the right thing :)

@SubvsSlave, I love what you said about the internal collar and I know what you mean. My owner is very, very laid back but my internal collar is on tight too, just in case...I'm hoping to get an external collar too at some point. That would make me complete :)

May the warm fuzzies continue!

Thanks Mysteries....I'm glad you understood. My Master is very laid back as well. Good luck with your external collar. I have a few but I/we haven't found the "right" one yet. I have a Turian style steel collar that can be locked but it isn't that discreet for my job. I also have a play dog collar.

Thanks SubvsSlave...may I ask where you got the Turian one from? We've been looking a little (well, we did, a few months ago...I suspect he's forgotten all about it!) and did find a Ring of Steel cuff/bracelet that was nice. I can't be so open about my lifestyle either due to work/family so I thought something around my wrist might be a little more fitting than one around my neck itself. Something that he could still lock, and would lock, but would look a little more vanilla, if you follow me.

He bought it from houseofcollars.com. I love it but I find it a bit too obvious for work. I like your idea of a bracelet. I wish I could wear ankle, wrist and a neck cuff 24/7....but, alas I am unable to.

Congrats on finding each other! Just like anywhere else, you have to dig a little to find a gem that catches your eye.

About the collar versus work/family/society thing, my wife and I found that a necklace that rides close to the throat works very well for a public collar. I had found her one from a silversmith that has a triangular-ish shaped Celtic style center piece with a thin chain. I actually proposed to her with it, and we picked out the traditional ring later. We have not picked out our girl's collar, beyond the leather play collar. Slave jewelery, especially necklaces, make for pretty good public collars. The ones that look too much like collars tend to be too easy to pick out, even by nilla people.

Congrats!

As far as a public collar... even a simple chain would do... doesnt matter if its a piece of string. as long as its from him, and he decides its your collar when you cant wear your formal one... its perfect!

Thanks all, for the welcome and the feedback. I'm still on cloud 9, although trying not to get too positive about it because it has fallen apart before, in the past, for me. And although Christmas is coming up, I don't think I'll be getting a collar. But I will continue as I am for now and hope things keep getting better. Doubts bother me sometimes, but I try to push them back and not let them get on top of me.

If anyone wants to share photos of their collars I'd love to see :)

Thanks again (and sorry for the delay in coming back...)

Sooo happy for you both I met my love here, too. He wears my collar and I wear his engagement ring. All the best!
