werebeastie -> RE: The unkinky aspects of life (11/5/2011 10:32:32 AM)

hehehe my children begged me to neglect them hahaha they still do fortunately I talked it over with me and I agreed so I am still the same old over bearing dad ... and i can't be sent to my room nanner nanner nanner ... yes I know completely childish ... so what.  I am very naturally playful.

I will explain the neglect at my whim ... I am not the same fellow today as when that thought first developed, neither am I in the same situation.  When that neglect issue came up I was a younger man struggling to get beyond mere survival, I wanted more for my children and for myself and I worked excessive hours to bring my desires to fruition, 90 hour weeks were the norm.  Needless to say this caused strain on every intimate relationship I attempted, even when I was completely candid up front.  Eventually I realized that I was banging my head against the wall and devoted myself to work and being a dad ... no social life ...

I heard this fellow talking and he said "If you really want to see who loves you best put your significant other and your dog in the truck of your car and leave them there for a couple hours, then when you open it notice which one is happy to see you."  I was smart enough to know I couldn't do right by a pet took a bit longer to figure other things out.

hehehe thank you for your support ... I bet we could have taken a bunch of lunch money together ... I mean we might have set up a very successful donation plan with our fellow students

Well Aynne I am basing my definition on what the dictionary says and a slave is by definition chattel ... it seems as if you have some dislike for the word even when its used correctly.  I am not using it in a disparaging way.

werebeastie -> RE: The unkinky aspects of life (11/5/2011 10:49:14 AM)

Again you say things I do not ... this issue of slave (human property) being synonymous with chattel (property in general) aside ... you go on to say "... and I don't know any women that would want to be someone's chattel, with no commitment at all" Neither do I but then my slave, my chattel, my zealot will not be unloved or without commitment.  I would very much appreciate it if you did not state your assumptions as fact.  I am happy to be forthcoming and honest, even if people do not like or agree with me but I do not care to be misrepresented in what I say.

werebeastie -> RE: The unkinky aspects of life (11/5/2011 10:51:53 AM)

thank you ...

LillyBoPeep -> RE: The unkinky aspects of life (11/5/2011 10:53:34 AM)

I see what you're saying now, werebeastie. You essentially mean someone who wouldn't be stressed out by long absences due to work? That's different from neglect, at least in my opinion. Neglecting someone is like ignoring or disregarding their needs due to just not caring.
If you're gone because you're working, that's different.

werebeastie -> RE: The unkinky aspects of life (11/5/2011 10:54:15 AM)

so what's up girlie?  am I, in your opinion, the ogre Aynne seemed bent on making me out to be?

Iamsemisweet -> RE: The unkinky aspects of life (11/5/2011 10:54:37 AM)

The OP actually sounds like my dream man.

werebeastie -> RE: The unkinky aspects of life (11/5/2011 10:58:13 AM)

I agree it is different ... but I am wise enough to know now that it feels the same ... and I know from experience how devastating and heart breaking loneliness can be and would rather have a woman who was strong enough and mentally prepared for that "neglect" warranted or not than to cause such distress and sorrow to someone for whom I care.

werebeastie -> RE: The unkinky aspects of life (11/5/2011 11:03:39 AM)

What's OP?

LillyBoPeep -> RE: The unkinky aspects of life (11/5/2011 11:06:04 AM)

The loneliness can feel the same, but I think you might be selling yourself short and possibly causing confusion, or scaring people away when what you're saying is actually pretty reasonable and level-headed. Finding another way to explain that your job may require long hours might help.

OP = Original Poster. LillyBP is giving good advice there. Not many woman can handle long work hrs/shift work. It pisses them right off.

That's not eexactly what I'm saying. I'm saying a phrase like "neglect at my whims" scares people away, but saying "work sometimes requires long hours away from home" is what he really means aaand easily understandable.

A lot of women do have successful relationships with men who work crazy hours oooor women work them themselves.

I think many wome CAN handle relationships like this when they really understand what they're getting into.

Ninebelowzero -> RE: The unkinky aspects of life (11/5/2011 11:15:57 AM)

I get your point Lilly. Sorry was speaking from experience.

werebeastie -> RE: The unkinky aspects of life (11/5/2011 11:18:04 AM)

lbp you are correct, my wording should present the most accurate picture I can possible, it seems I have some rewriting to do.  nbz you are correct as well, she does speak wisely I am thankful I am at that stage in life where I am able to heed good advice.

werebeastie -> RE: The unkinky aspects of life (11/5/2011 11:21:53 AM)
