Well. This thread is all over the place. But I'll try and go back to the start. I think the original thread was about women getting their labias cosmetically altered. Which I don't get. To me a vagioplasty, is about getting the vagina tightened. I had a prolapsed bladder. My births caused a lot of damage to my parts. So Personally? I think the vagioplasty was very helpful because my episiotomy fell apart, my uterus and bladder were in danger of falling out, and the operation stopped me from being in endless pain. Believe me it hurts to have your body parts falling out of you. It took a long time to find a dr who would do the surgery. The attitude sounded like what I heard here. I endlessly was told by drs that these things happen and it wont matter if I stay as is. Or, only your husband will benefit from this operation wink wink nod nod. I finally made the gynecologist get out a mirror and run down what she was seeing. She went, there's your labia, there your clitoris there's your vagina there's your bladder.. And I went STOP RIGHT THERE! Why, is my bladder in this? And was told that lots of women have this happen after childbirth. To me...UNACCEPTABLE. I finally found a gyno who told me yes you have a prolapse. And the ugly little secret we don't seem to talk about is, Many women suffer from this after childbirth. So for all the femisit talk about how we should accept ourselves. Um YES I accept myself. With a vagina that is rebuilt, a bladder which is up and out of the way so I don't friggin pee every time I laugh or cough, and a uterus thats in its proper place. Thank you for listening to my rant. I feel bad for how many women with the same problem as me, only to be told to accept it.
