There are some of who can't.

Some of us are well known (some aren't....some are just shy).

Women can put a photo out (sue me) and anyone at their offices will go (had they seen it)...."she's hot". (sub or domme).

You can be submissive (sexually attractive by virtue), dominant (more so)....and frankly....you've got the game. Ya kind of own this gig.

A guy sending out his (public) photo on his profile who's sub (such as I....{some may debate that :) }....ESPECIALLY is he's some paragon of local leadership, would {likely} be perceived as weak).

It's not exactly easy being a (public) male sub, particularly if you have some local presence.

Sooooo...for those of you that think that make subs who don't have their photos in their profiles are less "real"....recall....20 years ago saying you were gay was an anathema...that's kind of gone by the wayside...indeed, there are folks who back those folks.

Subs who are CEO's of major (or even minor) corporations...have a bit of a tougher time of things and...occasionally...are suspicious of those who want to know more.

Most sub men are eager to divulge to someone who is sincere (Hell...we {subs} want a good dominant woman...and it's not exactly like it's a 1 to 1 gig...you know?)..but like all you wimmens who wonder how much fodder you're handing out...many sub men wonder the same things....for entirely different reasons.

Don't assume we're all the same if we don't jump out and hand off the goods....sometimes we're protecting ourselves to make sure that we're protecting you. (But most importantly....us......for you).

For gosh sake, just take a pic without your face or from the back. It's NOT that hard.

It's irrelevant to me whether someone does or doesn't. I've met subs without a pic. I've met subs who 'fessed up their pics are ages old.

But those that don't should not presume to ask for *mine*. And it's ridiculous to assume that women wouldn't also want/need the same level of privacy as any male.

If i may politely bring forth this rebuttal,
if someone from your "community or circles" saw you on here,
do you not believe they are on here for the same reason as yourself?

If a non-lifestyle person was on here, i would have to question their motives.

I fail to see the difficulty of a photo as it does not have to include a facial. Just a generic of the body can speak volumes. With so much BS and fakery online, anything that professes integrity is good and perchance to be expected. Of course a photo is not a proof, webcam can better serve that purpose. All that being said, i remain to believe just words and reading between the lines can serve to speak so very much. That should come first and the photos after, when it seems mutually appropriate.

You can't supply a photo? You break the camera?

Bullshit.

If I am interested in someone, I want to know what they look like. I want a face pic (don't care that much about the rest).

I have a clear face pic in both my profiles, CM and FL. But then, I am a very outfront person who will not do well with someone not equally as outfront.

I can see not wanting to let it all hang out, but you can give something pic wise. To do anything else is just playing unnecessary games. Unless you are so local you can meet easily (>30 mils away). Then meet.

So it's not you must for me, no one I don't know has to do a fucking thing for me. It's if you don't I won't take you seriously a/o give you much time (until unless we meet).

I don't see what the big deal is. As some others have already said, if you are trying to 'protect' your identiy, then don't take a face pic...just do a body or as was already suggested...turn your back or black out your face.

Personally, I don't think that it's really a case of 'I can't give a pic because I have to protect myself', I think it's more 'You don't believe what I say so you are asking for verification. Well, I think not."

Pics dont matter to me as I am not here looking for someone.

They only matter when I see someone who refuses to put up a picture diss someone who has one up based solely upon that picture.

I can understand especially for a submissive man the reluctance to even take a chance at being found out. However, the other side of this is that a woman is going to need to see if she's attracted to you. If I were considering someone, I'd have to see them before I'd agree to meet them, preferably before we'd started talking on the phone. I need to know if I'll be wanting to invest any time. I can feel a connection to someone over the computer and it means nothing, I need to know if there's even a chance that I want to keep nudging things along or just stop it now.

I agree completely lizi. The thing is I don't think someone has to put it on their profile to do that. After an exchange or two, pictures can be swapped as well. I have never had a picture up here. I likely never will. I have sent my picture to a fair number of guys, but it wasn't posted. I don't have a cam either, and don't intend to get one. My housemate has one, and I hope to skype with my friend in Germany soon. That is skype's only purpose to me.

So, the OP wasn't specific of whether or not it was to post on a profile or refuse to give at all. So from my standpoint, I won't put it on my profile, but I will swap after speaking with someone. I do believe that my lack of picture cuts my mail down at least a little bit. The HNG's don't have a point of reference with my profile so they move on.

When I got in the yellow pages and put my name on the building, I took my face pics down. I still have them, and don't mind sending them.

You have NEVER sent me a picture, JJ. So wtf is with this line of hooey?

At the moment we are seeing someone who doesn't have an account on here but if she did there is absolutely no way she could put up a pic of herself. I don't see the point of back pictures and although paintings and cartoons are cute, they don't show me the person anymore than a blank avatar. Pictures can be more misleading than no picture as there are so many stolen ones on here.
Having had a friend who was very much a public figure be blackmailed by another scene person, I can well understand why such people can't afford to put a picture up. When I look for a sub I look at a profile. After talking I would expect to see him, her on web cam.

The other day I was contacted by a new profile that apparently has been set up to show who is genuine and who isn't. I was asked to send my picture with a note held up saying 'MariaB' and this would be added to their profile of real dominant women. Am I really that desperate to show that I'm really me? I don't think so!

Agreed; and I can understand why the assumption is made that fsubs and MDoms have it easier than msubs -- in a way, yeah we do. Being a submissive female can be more socially acceptable than being a submissive male, but the kinky stuff is a risk for anyone because it's still not looked at favorably by a lot of people.
Plus, don't think that an fsub can just write her own ticket. =p There's a lot more that goes into it than just "being there." Of all the people swirling around, how many of them are even compatible, local, or at least single? That whittles it down quite a bit -- sometimes all the way down to "nil." =p

ESPECIALLY if they're a leader in a local community, ESPECIALLY if they have any kind of presence beyond local.

(ESPECIALLY if they have a presence nationally or internationally).
