For those who addressed the original question and tried to give incite into what steps to take to help this situation...thank you. For the judgmental ones who can go around and say things you have said about someone you do not even know...that says a lot about you. I would never verbally attack anyone that I did not personally know and to me the people that do that. Really show there true colors.

You're very welcome. I tried very hard to give incite.

Hun, no one sought you out to verbally throw stones.  You addressed this forum, with a question that was not received well.  Now, your attempting to back peddle and make it seem as if you are just the most picked on person here.  When you post questions in public, you have to expect replies of all sorts, some may or not agree with your actions.

Time to grow a thicker skin, accept the suggestions as given or continue to argue and not gain anything from the post at all.   You asked a question, obviously you wanted some validation or suggestions, take them as you will.

Tazzygirl, anyone educated in communication knows that communication is olny 7% words, and 93% body language, tone, inflection, volume and pace of the speech. Fonts, colors, bold and italic are the only way to convey that other 93% of communication which cannot be delivered any other way online.

When I was talking with her today Lafayettelady, what you are saying about cluster migraines is what it sounds like she is having one headache that is actually the same one that she never got rid of. Are there any natural remedies that might help or is prescription the only way to go?

Go see a neurologist. I know, I am a genius. Carry on.

The others I find quite humorous, thanks for the laugh.

I find it humorous too when an asshole is called an asshole,  a cunt is called a cunt,  a douchebag is called a douchebag---it always makes me smile when people label correctly and accordingly.

On another note--I have suffered migraines too---not often maybe once every couple years and when I get one I must get to the ER and get meds---once the migraine has ceased all I can do is sleep.

Here's what works for me, keeping in mind that my migraines are mostly hormonal and are worse when under stress. I usually have at least one per month and I have categorized them into 4 different levels.

1) I cut back on the caffeine intake. I have a cup of coffee in the morning and a diet coke at lunch. That's it. Too much caffeine and too little caffeine raises the incident rate.

2) I take 500mg of Feverfew everyday. They look like rabbit turds and taste just about as bad....but they've worked wonders as a preventative for me.

3) When a migraine starts, I take 2 tylenol, an espresso and reduce the amount of light. This usually puts an abrupt end to migraines that are my levels 1 and 2.

4) When number 3 doesn't work, it's time for the prescription medication.

She should go see a headache specialist; they can help her sort out if there are any underlying conditions that could be causing or contributing to her headaches as well as determine what type(s) of headache(s) she has.

And yes, somethings can sometimes help that are "natural" remedies. I was told my my doctor who first prescribed the Topamax for me that feverfew (an herb), CoQ-10 and/or large amounts of Riboflavin can all work as headache preventatives.
BUT she should be followed by a doctor and not be treated without actual medical care.

While it is true that when face to face we commonly rely on both verbal and non-verbal forms of communication, if verbal communication alone was as limited as you claim then all the world's great literature wouldn't be worth the water it would take to flush it down the drain.

Albert Mehrabian

7% words, 55% Body Language, 38% Tone of Voice, The three V's. It only means anything when speaking about emotions, if I remember correctly.

To assume that I can read your "body language and vocal tones" by bolding words or inflating the font....

I have done these things on occasion myself, as emphasis.

Yet, you seem to have no difficulty reading the posts I have made to you here.

I have added no emphasis of any kind.

Its just a pet peeve of mine.

A huge variation of font size and composition doesnt make for pleasant reading for me.

No biggie

Topamax is frequently called "Dope-amax" in the medical community due to it's very common side effect of impairing ones ability to think clearly and communicate. My son was on it for a couple of months and was unable to even put a sentence together to speak. If these two are ANNOYED at she sighs, they will never be able to tolerate the side effects of Topamax.

Kirate, you have twisted my meaning, and taken my statement out of context and applied it to something completely different.

This entire issue has become a TARBABY!

Bullshit. I took your meaning exactly as you posted it:

Online, in print, the written word. Thanks for playing.

This is a test of your claim. No large fonts, colors, or bolding. See if you can get it.

Reacts to criticism with anger, shame, or humiliation
May take advantage of others to reach their own goal
Tend to exaggerate their own importance, achievements, and talents
Imagines unrealistic fantasies of success, beauty, power, intelligence, or romance

A shout-out for Excedrin, which is a combo of acetaminophen, aspirin, and caffeine. Not as yummy as an espresso, but definitely more portable. And it works for me.

Each remedy is different for different people. If you have been following along, you should have gotten that by now. For some Topomax is a great preventative. For others, it does nothing. Imitrex is also great for some, sucky for others. Some people swear by marijuana.

The only "natural" remedy I know of for migraines is to figure out the trigger and avoid it. Quite frankly, I believe that you two are a trigger. You caused too much stress on this girl and it gave her a migraine.

Cluster Migraines are NOT one headache that is never gotten rid of. That was something that I described that happened to me, not remotely meant to be diagnostic in nature or even imply that was what she was suffering from.

Frankly, since you claim to suffer from migraines, you have an appalling lack of knowledge about them. Leads me to believe you made it up in the hopes of getting some pity from the people after your first post which made you look completely asinine.

You didn't use simply bolded text, you chose the largest text you could find.

What you conveyed was pure rage and an appearance of shouting to be heard over everyone on the boards.

It actually isn't all that difficult to get the tone of someone's post simply by reading their words, without adding any special font, colors or anything else. It is, however, ALWAYS frowned upon to use all caps and billboard size font, since it come off looking like you are a screaming banshee.
